Am I mad?

I'm a newbie here so forgive me if this has been gone over before.

I love to play the huge worlds with the most opponents I can get. I usually pick Chieftain so I know I will win eventually. I will play this one game for a month or two! Every day I'll play some, and some days I'll play for hours. I have so many cities at times and so much going on that it will take my computer several minutes to go around and get back to the start of my turn again. I also like to play until I have completely wiped out every other race and civilization. This can take me a couple of months and I have gone well over the year 3000.

Am I mad?

I've logged so many pangea hours on chieftain, I'm having to chase Eman's score on the HOF just to tell myself it wasn't a complete waste of time/food/oxygen/sweat/tears/electricity/poodles.

Agree with you on that one. Ilike it too. Giant map, kill everybody, play a bit every day, etc. Exactly what I do. its a killer formaulae, literally!!!

Yes, quite. Play standard maps w/ various landmasses to increase your enjoyment.

I've played a couple of huge-map games (Regent, continents) that lasted 2-3 months.
I have since stepped down to large maps. Still takes me 30-60 hours.
