Amazon units

These units are all very much appreciated! At least, you've made my mod look the part with them, where they're a significant feature. I do like to show them off too!

Thanks for all this hard work, SaibotLieh! :)

Thanks, I'm really happy to see my "creations" to be of good use. :)

My apologizes to haven't com earlier to thank you for your units. I use them to get different settlers in my mod ( on a horse for rome and celtic and french ) and a foot one for egypt settler ...

It's a very interesting work and cool units. Thanks again ! :)

SaibothLieh made the buttons along with the units, and they are included in the Amazon Units download, if I'm not mistaken. Check the zip-file, Phungus. They're found under Art/Interface/Buttons. It's not really common that modders supply buttons like this, and I was very happy that there were in the Amazon Units. Saved me some work, and the buttons look very good too.

EDIT: I now see that you meant buttons for the Vietnamese units. However, there are still suitable buttons in the Amazon zip you could use for those too.

I've tried making buttons before, but I fail :(

Where did you fail?
For me it's only 5 steps to create a very simple button, and really everybody can do it ;).
I could even try it with the images from the database as base.

Thanks, I'm always happy when my units are used and modified further. Nice work you've done there. :goodjob:

I'm glad to hear that. :)

I finally got around to putting these in. Is there any chance anyone has any buttons for these units, or can someone create them? I've tried making buttons before, but I fail :(

I put some buttons together, hope you like them:

First I wanted to have different people for the different units, but in fact it's not that easy to find suitable pictures. :( I even had to attached the hat myself to the one I used. I've also attached my photoshop file with the girl if you want to add weapons yourself.

Using asioasioasio's buttonmaker file (http://forums.civfanatics.com/showthread.php?t=201747) makes it pretty easy.

Actually, The J. I use it with Paint dot net all the time. It's easy. You just have to copy and paste the Alpha on the buttons and press Del after you've pasted your image into the picture. It's real easy though.

Thanks so much for the buttons!

I tried to use assio's buttonmaker before, but I couldn't get it to work; wasted like 4 hours on it. Eventually assio took pity on me and hooked me up with the image I am currently using for my avatar.

Nice buttons. The amazons of Vietnam will certainly get their day soon! :mwaha:

Woo, niiiiice !
Amazon are way too cool.

Hope you manage to get the buttons ;)

Really nice! I was actually looking for an archer as one of my hero units. The hero right now is from one of your other units in the Amazon pack, and I can now change her inot that one, since I use the other one at another situation in my game already. (phew)

Excellent job again. She looks really good.

That's good to hear. :)
By the way, I just realized that the skirmisher and the original Amazon archer actually don't fire arrows when they shoot. :crazyeye: I must have made an error at that time when I modified the archer_md_rangedstrike.kf file. I've updated the skirmisher unit accordingly, put this can also fix by exchanging the broken file with the original archer_md_rangedstrike.kf file. I've attached that file to this post. I recommend to exchange the file in the Amazon archer folder too.

Since you appear to be the female unit-making King around here I was wondering if you could make me two Inquisitors that I was going to make female?

One is a Priestess of Ba'al and one would be a Native American medicine woman/tribal elder. Any way you can take up these requests?

Hm, next one are the two other great generals for the great people set, but after that I could make yours. Do you have some picture material for them? That would be a great help for me.

I'll send you some in a PM within the next couple of days. It's 3 am here, and I'm too tired at the moment.

No need to hurry. Also you could think about which animation set you would like for the units.
