Going a bit historical are we? I'm fine with it seeing as your first post of how Hitler rose to power was stated.

OOC: No modern history is complete without Nazis, isn't it? I hope the RT will take note and edit in the Third Reich. Then we can truly have a World War!

(Of course, this is not a statement in support of the Third Reich or its policies, nor world wars in real life.)

Well of course it isn't.

OOC: I wish that DoC actually had Hitler as the German leader either during that period of history or when it switches to the appropriate civics. He's too important a leader for him to be left out.

He is included, it's just that Germany never switches to the right combination of civics.

It actually does. The LH turns to Hitler (and the dynamic names changes to the "Third Reich") when Germany converts to Totalitarianism. However, since the AI does not like Totalitarianism (interestingly enough, it really likes Autocracy and Egalitarianism together), Hitler rarely shows up without intervention.

Say, what version do you play on? (Egalitarianism, in its current manifestation, is unique to the current SVN, while Totalitarianism and Autocracy exist in the version RT is using for the story, v1.11. I also don't know how much the AI likes Autocracy + [whatever is the equivalent of Egalitarianism] in v1.11.)

OOC: I use Version 1.11. I don't use any of the SVN stuff due to never figuring out how to use it. Once Version 1.12 comes out i'll be using that.

OOC: I kinda doubt that really. We know how bad Hitler was in RL but we have no clue what he'll do in the TL. Also it's going to be hard for him to be antisemitic when Judaism isn't even a religion in DoC.(Which IMO is a bad thing. You get rid of Judaism then you need to get rid of Christianity.)

OOC: True; if Hitler never assumes the chancellorship and if the Nazis never assume complete control over the German state (in meta terms RT never edits in the Third Reich), then Hitler may just be another statesman with outdated values. As for your second point, I've always assumed that Judaism still existed in the ingame universe, even if it's not considered an actual religion. Besides, if there aren't any Jews, Hitler can always pick on the Slavs.

On a different note, its kind of bothersome that there are no reports coming from the seceded states. We don't knwo what these republics are like and we have no idea how the people living there live. Also, with almost half of the greater USA voting Communists how come there aren't any in Australia or South Africa ? if they are there wouldn't they be acting as fifth column against the secessionists ? That'd be a big problem they'd be facing then. How would they handle that ?

Leoreth just took it out because he felt that it was more important to include Protestantism at the time and Judaism wasn't really a religion that many nations adopted.

I think it exists in Jerusalem and only Jerusalem.

Why didn't he just add in Protestantism then without removing Judaism? It can't be that hard to add in another religion into the game.

For South Africa, when we first seceded, we had trouble with riots from all sides of the political compass.

We eventually calmed them, and in general the populace is happy knowing they can practice any political ideology they want as long as it doesn't infringe on the rights of the people.
