Don't get me wrong, it's one thing to criticize the US government and its various policies but don't you think that this anti-war webpage has gone to far? I wasn't exactly pro-war but that webpage is outragous.

Note: They also include non-US coalition troops.

Well they covered any legeal problems with that little message. ALthrough I'm sure that a lawyer will find someway around that. I think that site is just plain sick.

The disclaimer was mildly funny.

But while some loons may find it funny to whoop it up at accidental deaths,
I don't hesitate to condemn this kind of cheap shot humour.

A lot of these aren't accidental. Like Staff Sgt. Richard A. Burdick...

Killed when his vehicle was hit by an improvised explosive device while in a convoy in Mosul, Iraq, on December 10, 2003

Immature, unfunny, and not "cool" or "edgy" like it is obviously intended to be. Did I mention it's not even the least bit funny?

P.S. Love the disclaimer bit which implies that because I think their site is a cruel, stupid waste of time, I must be a fundamentalist Christian. You got my number dumba**es!

Who made that website ?

This is more than bad taste. Voting for the death of people is despicable. What is funny in the fact an italian carabiniero had been killed in an explosion at the Italian embassy ? I really don't get it.

Riesstiu IV, how did you do to find that website ?

Booo! Sickos put up that site...

Tell me, how is this different from the "Darwin awards"?

Both are in bad taste, although one seems alot more acceptable on this forum, for some reason...

I was browsing the forums at somethingawful.com when I saw a link to this in one of their threads.

Despite the name (America's Dumbest) they also seem to have British, Spanish, and Japanese soldiers on the site.

A lot of the soldiers listed were killed during combat or with suprise attacks. I would find it just as distasful it the website was something like "Rawanda's Dumbest Genocide Victims" or "Spain's dumbest train bomb victims."

But a website saying "New York's Dumbest Bus Accident Victims" is OK?

I agree on your statement and I'm not fond of the Darwin awards too. However, there are still a difference between both. In the case of the Darwin awards, the death really happens in exceptionnal conditions, it's not the case in here. Moreover, in a war, there are always accidental death simply because the guys are playing with things that have been created to kill easier. I don't see how those accidents have something funny.

My point wasn't to defend the Darwin Awards, I just wanted to say this website goes even further in bad taste.

I think it's a Mexican webmaster/admin in association with a German company. That would make it worse, imho.

I have not confirmed this though.

Who ever made that site is a moron
