Seeing as I've worked out Imageshack, I thought I'd really give an AAR a go now. Unfortuantly, I don't really have a gigantic selection of games (a few RTS' and M:TW1, actually)

So here is my plan, and I want to see who likes it, and what roles anyone wants to take in it. It's Soldiers: Heroes of World War Two, and it's...well...unique.

Spoiler :
1944. 2 tank Divisions have captured a French Town, the Anglo-Welsh Tank Corps, and the Irish-Scot Tank Corps. After capture and roundup of Germans, however, the Irish and Scotsmen decide to take full use of the local dockyards a few kilometers out. Rumors spread of an English officer scoffing at thier colleges plans, calling them them 'works of Celtic idiots'

Uproar spread through the forces. The Scots and Irish refused to co-operate with the English and Welsh, calling them 'pro-English [Bothers]'. While British High Command and General Montgomery supported the English and Welsh, Patton and the Americans placed thier support in the Celtic Allies (as the Scots and Welsh were calling themselves). All out revolution had hit the two tank cores, in which only one side can emerge victorious.

Terrible realism though it is, I'm trying to make this as fun and interactive as possible.

Your role will be as follows;

OFFICER: Basically this AAR's equiviliant of Counsilars in HOTR. You have a higher amount of tanks availible at the beginning. There is one each side.

COMMANDO: These are the blokes who do all the really cool secret stuff that sets back the enemy, like dynamite and big explosives. There are two per side.

TANK COMMANDER: You are the ordinary bloke in a tank.

Stand by for rules, but feel free to suggest any cahnges (other factions include the Yankees, Germans and Soviets, in case you're interested.)

Here ARR the rules.

M8 SCOTT [1TP]
CRUSADER [2TP]
MATILDA [3TP]
CHAFFEE [3TP]
CROMWELL [4TP]
M4a2 SHERMAN [4TP]
CHURCHILL [5TP]
M4a3 SHERMAN [5TP]
SLUGGER [6TP]
M7 PRIEST [8TP]
M26 PERISHING [8TP]
CALLIOPE [10TP]

GREYHOUND [1TP]
JEEP [Free, Officers and Commandos only]
TRUCK [Free for fast escapes]

These are your tanks, ordered for least powerful to most. I’ve also added some support, in the form of an armoured car, a jeep and a truck for ‘quick escapes’.

The jeep is free to the officers and commandos, but it’s a one-time wonder, because once its gone, it’s gone. The truck is only used in retreats.

As far as character goes, the AAR won’t have much freedom in the battle, but you are mentioned as much as possible in a variety of ways. Other then that, you decide what tanks you get, and make up your own story as much as you can.

Usually, with the exception of commandos, you’ll have three tankmen to help drive the tank. If your tank is blasted to smithereens, you escape, and they get fried. Yes, they are dispensable minions on that account. However, to replace them, you’ll have to pay 1 TP per three-pack, though you will have one spare crew to start with. If you want to name your tankmen, go right ahead, but I warn you, don’t get too attached to them.

Regarding the Calliope. This tank is an awesome machine that can change the course of a battle. To be fair, you may only have one per battle, if you can eventually afford them.

TP, or Tank Points, are gained by acts of bravery (which are totally random), victories (which are a 50-50 chance, usually) and captures. What are captures, I hear you ask? Well, every now and then your tank crew will panic, alight the tank, and make a run for it (usually you’re losing pretty badly for this to happen). A commando or Tank Commander can run in, and drive the tank to his team’s base, earning himself one EP.

I'll be a Tank Commander.

Irish Officer I believe

being as I'm mostly Irish and partly scottish in genes I might as well support them :p

Congrats, Captain, you are now the officer of the Irish and Scots.

Anglo-Welsh if you don't mind.

Scottish-Irish Corps :D

Edit: Didn't see that there's only one officer per side allowed. Given that I am Scottish, I suppose I can only be a Commando :D

Right, so right now we have:

SCOTTISH-IRISH:
-Captain2 (Officer)
-Kan' Sharuminar (Commando)
-e350tb (Tank Commander)

ANGLO-WELSH:
-PrinceScamp (Commando)
-Nodikus (Tank Commander)
