What's going on lately? What's all this about new civs / asian civs?

!!
I'm currently working on different versions of the mod to be released together, so that people have the opportunity to play a full variety of civs with various different advantages. Just accept it'll be fun!
Tch...only teasing though!Sorry!I looked through the last couple of pages but still didn't feel like I got it. Call me slow

Well, there's one version that basically could be called "the East" and another that will feature minor tribes of Northern Europe.Oooh cool. Just guessing by the civs being discussed -- will one version be about east asia and another about northern europe?
Could anyone help with a Batavii city list? I looked on the Civ IV forums, as someone had done a Batavii civ there, but it seemed like the cities were mainly Roman names and they said they'd used cities from neighbouring tribes as well. I've got these myself so far - please firstly see if these look okay and, if possible, add to the list. A lot of current cities in Holland were founded after the Batavii were around.
Nijmegen
Maastrict
Utrecht
Xanten
Cologne
Voorburg
Ganuenta
Neuss
Bonn
Valkenburg
Krefeld
Arnhem
Trier
Elst
(jetzt? zurzeit? kürzlich?) Anyway, I believe the Treaty of Verdun falls a little late for the mod ... unless it were made a cultural group specific victory path....but for god's sake, do not call Köln, Cologne! It's firmly in German hands afterall.![]()
No ProblemCool!! A huge thanks for that info. What I think I'll do is add any of the missing ones to the list and see what else I can dig up from the 'net tonight.
Krefeld!!! Hahaha, that's where I'm from. Sweet to see my damn city represented for once (although it is a sucky city). I need to move to Düsseldorf soon...
That isn't intentional - I'll have to look into that.1) Both Indian Tool Age Spearman and Indian Spearman upgrade to Indian Guard. I expected Tool Age Spearman to upgrade to Indian Spearman. Instead, I had to keep them in the field halfway thru Anno Incepti....was this intentional?
That actually is intentional. In an ideal world, I'd have used the "replace buildings with this flag checked," but I'm using that for courthouse-type buildings. The weaponsmith can only be built if there's iron in the city radius and doesn't cost any maintainance - the smelter doesn't require iron in the city radius, but costs 1 gold per turn. That's the difference.2) I can build both Smelter and Weaponsmith, which duplicate each others functions: both upgrade units and both produce veteran units. Did you mean them to overlap?
I'm really glad you're enjoying it!!If I think of anything else, I'll post it but this is it for now. Great mod, as I said. Am having lots of fun. I really don't know why anybody would invest money in Civ IV (from all I've read about it here) when they can play C3C!
mmm....interesting!! I wonder why that is?Rob, I noticed I was able to upgrade my slave workers to Harappan workers for a cost of "0" gold...is this an unexpected bonus? I'm not complaining mind you...
