  • Add beards to all remaining leaders that did not previously have beards.

I noticed this too. Are beards some technical term, or did they try to slip in a joke that all leaders now have actual beards?

I'm guessing some April Fool's thing. A politician in Washington joked yesterday he was going to grow a beard so he wouldn't be mistaken for another black guy that looks a lot like him.
 
I would prefer it if even King and Emperor city states had walls. AI civs can get pretty aggressive on those difficulties as well.

There's another note that says city states spawn with more units at higher difficulties. It doesn't say which ones, but King and Emperor might be included. That would help a bit.

No, World Builder is part of the main game

the Dev Assets is just the collection of all the Art Assets, but they were heavily outdated (no DLCs even) so it's nice to see them update it so soon.

I like seasteads, this make it less available.

Does anyone see the cahnges? Hojo still do not have beards.

  • Great Generals that transform a military unit into a Corps or Army can no longer do so for the GDR, which is not allowed to be a Corps or Army.
Does Zulu still can get GDR corps?

  • Make sure Barbarians can't spawn GDR
Last time I was hard hit by barbarian GDR:lol:. Glad this is fixed.
 
Yes, it's AWESOME that this has been added. Additional melee units have been added at Diety and Immortal too so that is even better.

I hope "Improved leader victory preference weighting" will speed up the times it takes the AI to win games.

Of course it makes my life as Sumeria/Aztec/Scythia harder, but having the city states around & well defended just adds more flavor.
 
awww, just noticed they nerfed Royal Society. That's okay, it was pretty powerful as it was.

Naw, it clearly says all remaining leaders. I'm assuming this means female leaders as well. Get ready for a bearded Victoria.

Another update from Ed:
Also found one item missing from the patch notes. Professional Armies policy that gave unit upgrade discounts now split into two pieces initially. "Retinues" is the new second half of this policy.

So one card for gold, one for resources early, combined later. Great change - you'll probably slot both in at the same time, but takes you 2 cards now, which is a big nerf to them.
