Well, I speak American English fluently with no detectable Israeli accent, but since I do not actually live in the States, and since I haven't ever been there for more than a couple months, any slang that I may unknowingly use comes either from American English speaking friends here (who also for the most part have not been in the States for prolonged periods), or from my mother (whose slang should be dated back to the sixties if she even uses any), or most likely, from American TV.
I also use a tiny bit of British phrases, especially "bloody 'ell" and other things bloody.
And Hebrew slang hardly differs from place to place within Israel, as the country is small and young. I was in telaviv alot this week and the only weird usage of language that I picked up on was "?איך" [you may not see that correctly on your system - if you see Cyrillic that's not right] ("how?") being used as "what was that?" I had never heard that before and then in the space of a week I heard it used by a few different people. (I think it stems from stuff like "what was your name again?" which in Hebrew is closer to "how are you called again?")
And then there are some geographical differences in the language used by children, like the word for lolipop being in some places "מציצה" (pronouned "meh-tsee-TSAH", means "sucking" as a verb, as a noun it means either "lolipop", or in more adult slang... errr... Just connect the dots please, I don't wanna get banned. =X) and in some places "סוכרייה על מקל" (pronounced "sookarYAH al mah-KEL", means "a piece of candy on a stick".) And there's a game that kids (used to?) play with the pits of apricots, and the pits are called "אג'ואים" (pronounced "ah-joo-eem") in Jerusalem but "גוגואים" ("go-go-eem") pretty much everywhere else in the country.

The only unique slang my area has is "jip" or "gyp", I'm not sure how its spelled. It means to cut in line.

Examples:

"Hey, no gyping."
"Get to the back of the line, you stupid jipper!"

In my region people say 'jipped' to mean the equivilent of screwed-over.

i.e. "You just got jipped by that salesman."

I like the saucage (don´t want to miss it), but this special beer is not good at all. Most sell Wieselburger, Stiegl, Hirter or Murauer in bottels, which are the ones I prefer.

You should start taking some langage courses or otherwise you will be recognised as "Piefke" and treated unfriendly.
All Austrians will understand you if you speak Hochdeutsch and we are not unfriendly at all.

Speaking of high-German, it's what I learned in school when I took German, but It's like listening to a southerner when my great-aunt and Grandmother speak in German. (my German side came from around Stuttgart/Bavaria).

Sort of like a "How y'all doin'???" and "How are you?" (first one being southern).

Now, in my area, there is Baltimore slang (called Bawlamorese, or Bawlmerese).

Baltimore is pronounced "Bawlmer", or "Bawlamer" in Northern Baltimore).
belief is bleef.
granite is granted (I fall victim to this one ALL the time!).
Merlin is Maryland.
Warshington is Washington.
"downy oshin" is "Down the Ocean (City)".
Dundock (or done doc) is Dundalk. (Dundalk gets made fun of for this reason).
And the most famous - "hon", as in "Welcome to Bawlmer, hon!".

Whoops! I misread the posts and thought they were about *black* people who act *white* rather than vice versa.

There's nothing wrong with making fun of those who "talk down". Sacha Baron Cohen has made a career out of it. The terms I object to are for those who go the other way - eg middle-class black people who don't like rap music. My girlfriend endured much verbal abuse as a teenager because she liked rock music, which was perceived as solely for white people, and therefore, being black, she was some kind of "race traitor". And that's as ludicrous as it is insulting.

I'm not sure why there'd be a difference in the level of offensiveness between knocking 'black people that act white' and knocking 'white people that act black'.

Earlier this year, my sister went to Washington DC to do this thing where they got to meet congresspeople and pretend to be the House. She met people from across the country. While there, she noticed that no one outside of northern California knew what hella means. It means "a lot of" or "very." I never even knew that only we use it until my sister told me. Does your area/city/state/region/whatever have anything like that? We probably have a few more local slang words, but I just don't know what they are (a few are probably local and the rest are national, though I do not know which are which).

That's quite strange being "Hella" has been quite common slang in North Dakota for as long as I can remember. Guess I havn't heard it much lately though. Strange world.

I'd just to like to say that the worst slang word ever was when people started describing things they liked as "The Bomb". Pretty sure that one was national.

On a side note, in certain parts of Montana, they call attractive females "Phillys" which apparently is also a word for female horse. I found that a bit odd.

Not "pawn", "pwn"!
"pwn" stems from a common typo in "own". They are used in essentially the same way.
So you can say "that guy just totally pwned you!" just as you'd say "that guy just totally owned you!"
(I mainly use the word online, and when I actually say it, I pronounce it as "pown", like "own" only with a p at the start.)

We use dis. I think that's national, or at least very widespread. Ghetto in my area means something else. It means either the ebonics accent (for example, one might say, "She speaks with a ghetto accent"), a poor area (for example, one might say, "I live in the ghetto"), or anything pertaining to the "ebonics" culture, (for example, "That music is ghetto" or "She dresses ghetto" or "He sounds ghetto.")

Didn't say people still say "Da bomb" here, havn't heard that for about 6 years. Just wanted to point out that it was the worst slang term ever.

^Agreed. I don't remember it being common even six years ago, but I was only 9 then, so I didn't use all of the slang.
