Anyone find it bizarre that there is no African Civilization?

Consider, if you will...
The Greeks ruled Egypt for a long time (i.e. the city of Alexandria) with it being part of their empire, followed by it being a part of the Roman Empire and having Italian masters for another long period.
If you told an average Greek or Italian that they were black they would disagree with you. I think Arab may be what best describes the Egyptian people.

1) I can see so many international peoples having a problem with the term, American, for people in the USA. I still sit here and wonder why these same people dont have that same problem with the Slavs calling themselves Macedonian, yet we the Greeks are childish for pointing out they are claiming the whole region, when we Greeks are more Macedonian than the Slavs. So if you argue the 'American' term, you are either acting childish for those that see no problem with Slavs calling themselves Macedonian or identity does not really matter in this world and I can call myself African even though I have no relation.

3) The word Arab means from West Africa, so whether or not the Mali were Arab, the Arabs originated in this region.

There is a cultural and racial divide at the Sahara Desert though. The groups to the North on the Med coast have much in common with Europe through long interaction and the groups to the South have their own more unique identities due to their more isolated locations.
Moors were not from Egypt. Moors were from Mostly North Africa and some from West Africa. Egypt is in the East, besides Moors were black and you are saying Egyptians are white so you can't have it both ways.Mujadaddy said:

Why would anyone want to include Africa? They actually went backwards scientificly.
The word black has different meaning in different countries os it is best to let people from those countries decide what race they are rather than you telling them. Americans, Candians and many Australians consider anyone from africa or the mid-east, inlcuding the non black ones with dark skin to be black. Where as some europeans say it is this or that part of africa. Other europeans say that the time when black where in which part of africa also changes.mossmonster said:

NO! the word Arab is from the arabian penninsula, and it means someone who is from there. Arabs originated there, and someone who is Arab is "Arabee" or arabian, in Arabic, which I'm studying.Greek Stud said:

a) Renaming America the U.S.A. would be like renaming France the Republic of France, or naming England the United Kingdom of Eng, Whales, Scot., & N. Ireland. It already sets what type of government the country would have.
b) American unfortunately is an adjective that is shared between the continent and the country. We have tried to think of a better name to describe ourselves, but United-Statesian just didn't catch on...
(this is kind of like refering to Arabians as people from the Arabian peninsula or people within the boundaries of saudi arabia or the old arabian empire.so therefore, i think that America is the only name choice, even though there are synonyms to that word. Maybe our founding fathers should have thought of a cooler, more unique name.
Well I was born and grew up Algeria as most people already know so you can't tell me I'm white is number. North and West Africa were part of the Roman Empire but Roman is not synonmus with white. Most Romans from Europe were probably white but the ones in the African coast were black. Egypt was a mixture not being fully black or semite type people. Lots of people like to say Arab but arab is not a race and there are country's like sudan that have all black populous but many arabs and ones that have all white populous like syria and many arabs. The Carthgian empire took over spain and other parts of Europe and many of those people like siclians have distant part black ancestry from that and the moors. Every North African country today speak Arabic so get a history book. Just because a few country's there were colonized by france for 200 years doesn't make them white french manmossmonster said:
