Sigh, I'm having the same sort of trouble as when I changed from the first game to the second...everything is familiar, but too new for me to know the units intuitively.

I can't download it becasue..well let's just say:

It's going to take 15 to 20 HOURS to Download on 56k....

I don't have that kind of time....

But if it runs on 98, I might find time to Download it or just buy it....

Is there any program that you can stop and resume downloads???

I know there is, 'cos I used to have it back in the day when I had 56k. Keep looking.

Though, from what I'm hearing, I doubt it'll run on Win98

It can run on Windows 2000..

I'll make it run on 98 if its the last thing I do...

Holy key-rap, this thing has too high graphics card requirements. My computer was cutting edge only last year! O_o

If your computer was cutting edge last year, then it should run fine
Mine was fairly good 2 years ago, and the game runs lag free. However I don't have a clue what i'm doing...

Mine was cutting edge last year, too.

Anyway, the graphics aren't as good as what they show on the screenshots. (FALSE ADVERTISING!!! ). It doesn't really have the feel of the last two games. (more like RoN than AoE) I also don't like how it zooms in really close, and doesn't let you zoom out much.

Macgyver2k has found an easy way to install the Age 3 Demo on Windows 2000:

1. Put the aoe3trial.exe to c:\
2. Start -> run -> cmd
3. Type: c:\aoe3trial.exe /a
4. Click next, then the installer will ask for a network path, simply type in the path you want to install the game to ( e.g. c:\games\AOE3Trial )
5. Click Install ( it seems se program does nothing, but the installation is in progrss - maybe takes some minutes )
6. And then finish
