Archmage Cap

Does this mean Khad would get how many potential Twincasts? Find it sad that he is left out of the party. :p

Also, extrapolating slightly from the main topic (and adding to the last couple of posts), it would be nice if the other unit limits could be loosened up a bit. So instead of always having 4 Crossbow, 4 Phalanx, 4 Berserkers, etc, no matter what nation I play - there would just be a limit of 20 or whatever of the T4 units, and I could pick and choose depending on the strengths and flavor of my nation. Perhaps just keep the split between magic/mundane, so you can't just have 20+ Archmages by neglecting all other T4 units.

Also also, Re: Thread Title - I agree, Archmages should get fancier hats. ;)

That sounds fun. I'm guessing the can/cannot train python callback could do it all, including various categories and different limits for different civs, techs, etc.

I think it would be neat to HAve the Kadi and Amurites to have a 4th level of Adept/Mage/Archmage/Grand Magi (national limit 2) Which would allow 2 more mages to upgrade to archmage.

Let the Grand Magi have access to some things like twincast 2 and Heroic Defense

No reason for the Kahdi to have it really (Kahd will make sure he's the top mage in anycase) - but a "Caswallan" might fit very nicely for the Amurites to re-solidify themselves as the magic-kings.

Of course, he'd need to go kill Dain first I believe...

Huh, could do the Amurites similarly to the Scions. If you use Valledia as leader you get Dain as a hero unit....

Then what does Dain get??

This is actually pretty close to the Commanders project that GreyFox was working on - using some of the existing leaders (plus new ones) as subordinates and generals to provide extra traits and abilities...

yeah iirc this was the work I wanted to try to combine with my aborted regicide mod mod. Good stuff.

uh how about Vallendian being a roaming forbidden palace (she is Organized after all)

How about some type of training. If you build a major wonder you could park a magic user in that city for x number of turns, and he would gain a spell ( maybe 20 turns for adepts, 10 for mage 5 for archmage)

or maybe not?
