No, not a minority. But in Calgary, us liberal's are minorities. ;)

As a European-American, I have been in parts of Atlanta where I was most certainly a minority. However, in most other places, I am part of the majority ethnicity.

You don't have to be evil. You could be like Mr. Rogers or the late Dave Thomas of Wendys.
Why would I want to be like the host of a stupid children's show, or the founder of a chain of hamburger shops? Besides, it's more fun oppressing the minorities.;) :mischief:

No. I'm an ethnic German in Germany. That and heterosexuals (not kidding, sorry Xen) are the two only real major majorities I belong to.

In pretty much all other more or less important regards I belong to a minority.

I am a complete and utter WASP. My brother-in-law seems to think I look just like Mats Sundin (for the few of you who know who he is), but I wouldn't quite say that.

That said, in Toronto, everyone is a minority.

In the words of Homer Simpson...

I'm a white male, age 18 to 49. Everyone listens to me, no matter how dumb my suggestions are.

I've got a couple of funny experiences. When I was an exchange student in Texas, I remember having trouble choosing my "ethnicity". The best fit for me was Anglo-Saxon, which I'm not.
A few years later, one of my friend went to California, he is from Spain. Imagine his surprise when he could not check "white", because it said specifically "Not Hispanic" !

I'm not sure who or what decides what the category are, but it's a mess of a mix between skin colors, countries, continents... Do you know if it's a federal thing ?

Yes. As a half native American I am a minority in my own land. Damn you squatters. :p

amen brotha!

Yes, I'm a minority.

White, Hispanic, and Native American (and Catholic to the bone)

There is no real majority in the States, anyway.

I'm a quarter Scottish, which I guess makes me an oppressed minority. A Highland quadroon, if you will.

In the North American context, I am part of a small minority who speaks and lives in French. But when it comes to Québec, I'm in the biggest majority there is. White, French speaking, once catholic who now rejects the Church, you name it! I feel like I'm very privileged. I can enjoy three different cultures (Québec, Canada, US), and yes they are all different, in a way most of you don't. You're missing out on a lot of good stuff!

Hes not lieing. Quebec culture (true candian) is really great, missing out on alot. Where I live as being white im not a minority, although its becoming closer and closer to becoming minority. As French Canadian where I live i'm 100% minority. The way people talk towards me here is really rascist and i dont wish for any of my Quebecois to have to deal with it. For example i get the nice "go back to europe *bleeps* frenchy" comments. They say stuff like French doesnt belong here. Then people wonder why i'm thinking more on the seperation side now.

Averdris, whereabouts in Canada do you live that you get that kind of nonsense?
