Player's Notes
I got Sun Tzu's, which... was actually kinda pointless, but I did remeber to sell my 5 barracks the turn before so I guess it wasn't totally stupid. The reason I got it at all was because I was prebuilding a palace, in hopes of snagging the GLib, but that got taken, so I took Tzu. If it put a barracks on every city on any continent, that would have been a good one. Anyway, so I got the little chunk Maya all fortified, but it takes 9 turns to get galleys to it. Babylon lies right in the middle and one of thier cities, Nevieneh? You can see it in the middle, is perfectly placed to allow Gallyes through. Shortening the trip to Maya by 4 turns. I got Chivalry from the Aztecs, for Engineering and some cash, and began building samurai. I also had a nice clump of horsmen built so I upgraded as many as I could and set sail for Babylon. I also wanted to get an army, because an army of samurai would do me well against Maya. I actually ended up with 2 heros. One I made into an army right away on the in Babylon so I can free up my elites to make more GLs. I got one more. I am not sure if I want to rush a FP or just make another army. I got alot of good high shield cities, I could just make it the hard way. Two armies of Sams would really allow me to crush the Mayans. I will think about it. I also just built Leo's I wish I had it 15 turns ago, but I will get my money's worth from it. I am first in score already. I think that means I am too good :goodjob: Better move up to emp in my next game.

I found the problem with your code. Remove the URL tags(and the first internet adress) With just the IMG tags, it should look like this:[IMG}http://img100.imageshack.us/img100/2977/babylon7fc.th.jpg[/IMG]
Edit: Never mind, that didn't work. Looking for another solution. My coding skills seem to be rather subpar with regards to imageshack.

Great concept for a writeup.

Player's Notes
I killed Babylon and took thier island over. It is going to help me a great deal to send troops to the mayans. I began transporting them right away, took a very long time but I got a HUGE forst over to my Mayan stronghold. Because I turned science down to 10% and was still making a ton of samurai and I didn't have enough galleys to tranport them all fast enough, so I decided to go kill Korea. They had two cities, one with gems and one with dyes that I want. But since they are so easy to kill, and are totally worthless in every respect, I am going to just kill them and make science farms. As a matter of fact, everyone but the Aztecs are totally backwards in science, and have 0 gold. I gave the Spanish, Incans, and Portuguese gunpowder for an allience against the Mayans. Obvioulsy they will do nothing since Mayans are in 3rd place and have musketeers in all cities, but I am hoping it will get the mayans to move seom troops away from my front. Chichen Itza had the temple of zues, AND the knights templar O_O so it was not easy to take, it had about 18 units in it, and it was a frustrating siege. But two armies, 10 trbs, and about 25 samurai finally took it down. Now I am going to try to get the most out of my samurai by killing as much of maya as I can, and I am going to try to take a chunk out of the Aztecs.

I LOVE JAPAN!

I don't know off the top of my head, but I am pretty sure the Zeus is done making units. Because in the city display it is giving me gold. Which leads me to believe that it's become a tourist attraction. But the knights templar has given me a crusader the turn after I took it over, so I do had that to look forward too :D

Yeah looks like I am going to win without too much serious playing. Looks like I should have made this an EMP game. Gives me more time to write good haiku though :goodjob:

Ha! Well this is going to help my domination of the mayan continent very well. Now how the heck to I describe this in real world/haiku terms? Why would I train japanese people to be crusaders, and why would mayan crusaders fight on my side?

I like it!

I have a ton of crusaders building forts all over now, just because they have nothing better to do. Well, by a ton, I mean 3 of them haha, but it's fun building forts.

Ug! Just a mini update. I have been trying to kill the Byzantines to take full control of my island. Man what a pain. Both the Koreans and Byz didn't a horrible job of building roads for me! A huge mountain range seperated the Byz from me, and it has been totally slowing me down getting in position. It's taking way longer than I planned. The Aztec (the big AI) are no furious with me and I fear a declaration very soon, and 3 of the byzantine cities are on hills! With musketmen in them, and they are lvl 12 cities!!! Man I am going to suffer losses...

Players Notes
Yeah like I thought, the Byzantines where a real pain, I lost alot of units in that attack. I lost Cap Observatory by 1 turn, and then I scrambled and starved the city that built it down so it didn't finish, so I could research Theory of Gravity at -145 gpt. I got ToG in 7 turns, and busted boot Nagasaki down to level 8 just to get newtons. I know it's a total waste, but since me and the aztecs are no the science leaders, and I plan on being at war with them soon I need to do my own work. The Aztecs have been furious with me for a very long time, but have yet to make a move, thats good. Now I am going to take my army from Korea/Byzantine and sail it over to the other continent so I can start kicking Aztec butt. Aztecs have Magnetism, and Megellens voyage, and I don't have very many high production ports to compete with that. I am going to have to get my army in, and tear out thier heart quickly before military tradition happens. I got 2 armies there already, and I am making the pentagon so beef them up with a crusaders each. I have a third army on my home land, but I can't transport it with a caraval :( so I guess it's my maskot army until later. Oh, I took the lead in score by 80 points :D.

Enjoying the poetry. Technically, these are not haiku but senryu, because they deal with human concerns rather than nature. But the approach is fresh and really lets you see the bones of the game.

It works for me when I just place the [ img ] tags in front of and behind the image url.

jungle6wu.jpg

Yes I know they are not Haiku, but because most people don't know what a Senryu is, and because they are very similar and people do know what a haiku is. I have gotten into the habit of calling them that to avoid the "what's a senryu" to which I reply "Well it's just like a haiku, but not about nature."

I will try to picture thing next post.

Player's Notes: I was actually really excited to finally get to meet the new world. But it sucked, they are all stupid and me and Aztecs are far far in advance. The Aztecs about 3 techs ahead of me! I couldn't even make enough money to buy them. I got Economics to trade to them, but they wouldn't trade me any tech for it, just dyes and ivory >_<, then next turn they demanded it, I refused and they declared war on me. The aztecs just killed portugul before declaring on me, so thier army was right at my doorstep. Thank god those crusaders built some forts on the hilltops the aztecs have been losing alot of units attacking there, however there are still many hilltops not fortyfied, I wish I had about 15 more turns to finish. The aztecs do have cavalry, but they also have alot of knights, they haven't fully upgraded, which is good news because they have a HUGE army sitting in my little foothold. My galleons just arrived with 16 more samurai, and an army of samuari. Now I have 3 armies, probably something like 28 samurai, 10 crusaders, and 10 trbuchets to fend off about 1000+ units. But many of those are muketmen and MDI. Wish me luck!

A thousand units? I didn't even know that was possible! What level is this on?

slight hyperbole on my part. No, not really 1000 units. But 70+. Anyway, it was a total stalemate thanks to forts. We made peace and I went to destroy poorly teched civs in distant lands. Updates coming.
