Arioch's Analyst Thread

You can apparently rename your leader - this link shows Lord Azazel of America.

This has to be quoted :goodjob:.

Nice to see these lists.
And credits who credits deserve, so i to mention, that i've posted some of these images over here and here.
-> Thanks :).

I'd suggest, that you also open some topics about them, so that everyone here can get a better overview.

Some notes on your current (as of this post) stuff Arioch:
The Biology building really has to be hospital (since it's an industrial-era building). The Icon under elecricity really looks like a guy with a gavel/hammer, which could really only be stock exchange? That's really speculative though.
In the modern era, penicillin must be the medical lab, it can't be the hospital. The last robotics icon definitely has a rocket in it, which makes it almost certainly the spaceship factory, which leaves plastics with the research lab.

I want to say that stock exchange should be under Telegraph, but stock exchange is the only unknown that's civilian (all the others are military), and the icon with the gavel looks like the only match.

I've finished moving the Analyst pages around, and added a short section for meta-items (like map size and game speed, etc.).

A few technical notes:
The civilization page's top bar isn't displaying correctly- it's showing the old one.

Now that's a change. It also looks like all hills produce 2 hammers base (as seen in other videos), while a forest+lumbermill produce 1F,3H (this is all from the giantbomb video). And on improvements in general: TPs produce +2 Gold (I definitely think all references to 'commerce' should be purged and replaced with 'Gold', as that is the term the game uses).

Well its not commerce anymore, that was removed hence no slider. Golds a good name for "money" as it could also be called.

@TheJ, the credit for those Screenies should go to Lord Azazel of America who took them all, I merely picked out the best informative bits, (he had a lot of screenies of his carvel floating around other civ's lol.)

But it's not a good thing to have two different things with the same name. At least it's better now that working gold will produce gold, rather than gold producing commerce.

Destroyer Naval Electricity ? 8? 60? 30? ? Oil Indirect Fire, vulnerable to air and submarine attacks
Battleship Naval Telegraph ? 4 40 32 3 Oil

Arioch, this is from the large "Units" Table, looks like you accidentally put the battle ship description in the destroyer field.

well there was another screenshot showing that there was a maintenance cost for his army, but i dunno if that screenshot was from the same game or turn.

There's a turn 0 shot of Washington: worked tiles total 4 food, 2 hammers, 2 gold. City Totals shows +2 food (expected), 4 hammers (2 more than expected), 4 beakers (3 more than the 1 pop), 1 culture, and either 3 or 4 gold (I can't remember).

The extra has to be from the Palace: 2 hammers, 3 beakers, 1 culture, and 1-2 gold.

Congrats on learning repititon, and yeah I guess all cities or/and palaces give something as standard too.

Arioch, two details about Great People:
- Great Merchants can only conduct a Trade Mission to a City State. This will give Gold as well as Influence Points.
- Great Scientists will instantly discover a Technology. This in contrast to Civ4 where they only put a certain amount of science beakers towards a technology.

Hagia Sofia - +33% generation of Great People in all Cities

An additional note that could be added to the Wonders page is that Wonders can now been seen under construction on the map. Examples include the Colossus and Great Wall as you have pictures of those.

There was a screenshot of the Civipedia (http://www.gry.gildia.pl/_n_/ggk/gry/sid_meiers_civ5/galeria/imageo001-1280.jpg) that outlined terrain and features. Coast, hills and mountains are considered terrain not features. A lake is considered a feature not terrain. The list is missing Mt. Everest and Lake Titicaca so they may still be increasing the number of natural wonders. I think your Crater/Volcano shot was the Barringer from an earlier build as others have said.

No. The stats for the battleship have been substantially reduced (the old stats were Strength 100, Ranged 50). The destroyer stats have probably been reduced too, but we haven't seen the new stats for the destroyer yet. This is explained in the individual entries for both units.

Unfortunately, this is a case where the Civilopedia is clearly wrong. :) Hills is not a base terrain type; you can see that there are Grassland Hills, Plains Hills, Desert Hills, Tundra Hills, etc.
