When referring to Asian Drama am talking all venues, including drama, comedy, epic, mystery, romance, ect. Plus it's split into Movies and Drama series. What are Drama Series, Asian drama series are dramas that play weekly and have continuing stories that last for up to 60 or more installments (most are 10 to 20 installments), normally 60+/- minutes.

The first is the movie 'Kiss me, Kill me'

Link to video.

It's a tale of a Korean hired gun who does the job, but not perfectly.

Replaced the 'Kiss me, Kill me' URL, the old url was hanging after a short intro, this seems ok.

So while here how about the Japanese Drama series 'Haken No HinKaku', it's ten one hour episodes, each episode is complete in itself.

Prior to the 1990 economic bubble bursting most Japanese workers had lifetime jobs, with the recession came Hakens, temporary workers.

Synopsis
Oomae Haruko is an A+ Temp worker who never cracks a smile or minces words, and leaves work on the dot. But her cynical nature indicates she has something painful to hide. Satonaka Kensuke has just been promoted to head S&F's new Marketing Division. Saddled with a rag-tag group of subordinates, he is struggling to lift his division off the ground. When Oomae is placed in Kensuke's department, she finds herself doing more work than she's ever done before.

This is a timely drama that examines the different attitudes toward temp workers and regular employees, and the ways to overcome frictions in interpersonal relationships. This follows an October report on labor conditions by the Labor Ministry, which showed that, after regulations were relaxed, the proportion of regular employees to Temps had doubled compared to that of eight years ago.
This isn't on Youtube rather here http://www.veoh.com/watch/v14148331ZEChpar8/Haken-No-Hinkaku and many other sites are listed.

It is very much Japanese in nature.

Addon

The URL linked above only has the first two episodes of the show. For the rest you'll find them at http://www.gooddrama.net/japanese-drama/haken-no-hinkaku

I have a friend who is huge into K-drama. I'm not a TV guy myself whether Asian or otherwise, but I do make an effort to see Japanese and Korean films. Know another guy who is a huge Takashi Miike fan, I've seen 13 Assassins and Ichi the Killer which were both good.
Thanks for the input.

Am living in Thailand and K-Drama is big here on tv, thought I'd introduce it to those who haven't had the experience and it is an experience.

Best

This is a clip from the Thai 2004 hit 'The Bodyguard', IMHO it's has one of the most realistic gun fights in cinema history

Assume you need something to calm down with after the excitement of 'The Bodyguard', try this it should help_if it doesn't hit to close to home

This is worth a watch, it's a famous tale here, there's even a shrine to Nang Nak in Bangkok, she's seen as an ideal wife.

The story of Mae Nak Phra Khanong is famous and a favorite among Thai people. There is a shrine dedicated to her at Wat Mahabut on Sukhumvit Soi 77 (On Nut) in Bangkok's Suan Luang (formerly Phra Khanong) district.

The tale has been depicted on film numerous times since the silent era, with one of the most famous being Mae Nak Pra Kanong in 1958. A 1999 version, Nang Nak, by Nonzee Nimibutr, gained worldwide acclaim as part of the "Thai New Wave" cinema movement. There also is an opera, Mae Naak, by Thai composer Somtow Sucharitkul.

The suspect was a big hit when released in Korea, it's about a North Korean defector, being chased by everybody.

A Korean drama series is geared to sell to 'all' the population, rural, urban, rich, poor, educated, and uneducated so they can get a bit soapy.

Healer, it about a guy who takes on odd jobs for rich clients, not bad, got action, romance, some gals, and the Korean gals think he's hot

And some Clark Kent and Lois Lane in it.

The first episode starts here

It seems Healer has fallin of the edge of the world, so lets try another, this time a Japanese sitcom called Pride:
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pride_(TV_series)#Basic_plot
The show revolves around a corporate ice hockey team, the Blue Scorpions. The main character is Haru Satonaka (spelled Halu in the show), the captain of the team. Other team members are Yamato Hotta (the goalie), Makoto Shimaura (the rookie) and Tomonori Ikegami. In the first episode, we learn that Haru idolizes their coach, Anzai, who was a former hockey player. When he dies from an illness by the end of the first episode, Haru puts it upon himself to take care of his coach's widow, Yoko, and their young son, Wataru. The introduction of the team's new coach (Yuichiro Hyodo) does not go well, as Haru refuses to conform to the new methods, especially after Hyodo insults Ansai's way of coaching. This sets up a very antagonistic relationship between the two men. Aside from the hockey, another aspect of the show is the members' love life. Haru treats his relationships as games, refusing to fall in love. This is probably a result of his promise to Anzai to remain an "iceman", believing that a relationship, especially if children were born, would have a negative effect on his game. He believes he's found the perfect solution by starting a relationship with Aki Murase, an office lady from his team's corporation. Their "contracted" relationship is a game, as she is waiting for the return of her architect boyfriend in New York. However, she hasn't heard from him in 2 years, and she knows the relationship is over. Still, she goes every Sunday to a bridge to wait for him.

Yamato is in a conflicted relationship with Yuri Aizawa, a friend and fellow office lady of Aki. She is a self-confessed gold-digger, vowing never to live the same difficult life as her poor single mother. She believes that Yamato is from a rich family, as he was driving Tomo's car the night they met. He tries to tell her the truth, but she thinks he's only joking. He doesn't want to be in a relationship built on a lie.

Tomo is the playboy on the team. After finding out that he was the product of an affair, he rebelled, constantly throwing away the money his rich father gives him on friends and women. Usually staying with one night stands, he finds a possible partner in Chika Ishikawa, yet another of Aki's friends and co-workers.

Very enjoyable.

Part 1 of a series of five films.

Figured your hungry after watching the Koreans feasting, so, how about some Chinese tonite.

This is the trailer for a Chinese 'Mu Lan' series, not the one on youtube

This one is at https://www.viki.com/tv/20343c-mulan w/eng subs.

Plenty of palace intrigue ... plus dirty deeds done by all except MU Lan.

Sorry, no flying though the air.

Edie

The site has an incomplete version, only up to ep 23 and the Thai TV dubbed version is already beyond that.

Can anyone name, from my really vague description, the one set in the 1600s that started out looking like it was about the reluctant bitter warrior with a past and ended up more about his lost love interest and the Chinese nobleman she ended up with?

Several levels of awesome, not least that the whole thing was gorgeous to look at, people sets and costumes alike. I teased my sister that it should have been called All My Beautiful Koreans.

Empress Ki Episode 1 Engsub?

Link to video.

Loosely based on a true character who ruled China, the Chinese hate her, Koreans love her.

Otherwise there are bunches of films that fall into that description.

Similar sort of period soap with the same kind of look, but that's not it, no...

First episode with someone saving people from bandits, and really not wanting to take care of the woman and her baby afterwards, if that's any help... Same setup as the first issue of the Ronin comic without the demon to fight...

My way of tracking down movies is via the actors, if you can remember the actor in another film then search his/her films.

Everybody has heard of the many 'Chinese Ghost Story' films, bu have you seen the animated version?
