Spending:
-1 into economy. With more Harappans directing their attention to the west again, more and more traders are visiting Arabia and Sumer. These journeys bring back tales of huge cities and great wars, fascinating the citizens of Harappa. As a result, even more traders go there in search of wealth and knowledge.
-1 jack for another army

Military:
-Pull troops out of Simnala, offering peace upon seeing that Sinhalans aren't just barbarians. Sinhala is an NPC, so I'm guessing it will agree with peace. If it doesn't, continue fighting until they surrender.
-If Sinhala finally surrenders, it's time to turn our attention to the barbarians to our west! The world must be cleasned of these primitive people. Send 2 armies and one elephant division to strike deep into barbarian territory.
-My remaining army will guard Harappa.

Surviving copy of the Egypto-Sumerian Peace Treaty

Notably, the treaty is mostly written in a Cuneiform alphabet, rather than Hieroglyphics. As Egypt proper and most Egyptian colonies still made use of pictographic hieroglyphs, it is likely that this is actually a copy made for review of Egyptian client-kings in Anatolia. By the time of the Second Kingdom, however, it had been moved to Alexandria.

Djedkare Isesi broke with the Pharaohs before him in more ways than one. Religiously he gave more power to the Cult of Osiris, whom he revered as his patron, and his conflicts with the then-powerful Sun Cult of Ra would dominate most of his reign. This competition between the various cults and high priests is poorly documented, largely because the cult in power at the time would purge most histories written by their rivals, seeking to portray an unbroken reign of dominance for later generations, though complicating the task of modern historians.

In secular matters, Djedkare inherited the long war with Sumer. As the interests of Russia and Arabia drifted elsewhere, he frequently found himself the sole combatant against Ur, and his surviving correspondence would indicate no small degree of resentment. Dissent at home was supposed to have been particularly noticable, as the Nile Valley's overwhelmingly peasant population, called upon to provide most soldiers in Egyptian armies, shifted over generations, while the sudden loss of the Anatolian armies turned Anatolia against Egypt, though this was distant and it was still relatively poor compared to the Nile Valley.

Egypto-Sumerborder.png

Negotations with the Sumerians were fruitful, who agreed to cede the Levant and some buffer regions of desert in return for removing the greatest threat to themselves. Guarantees that Sumerian traders would be respected sealed the deal. With half of his rule devoted to war, after 2398 Djedkare turned towards breaking the power of the Cult of Ra, creating a vacuum in Egyptian politics that would be filled with the Cult of Osiris, and after that the Cult of Amon. He also worked to integrate the Levant into the Egyptian Trade Network in the Eastern Mediterranean.

You just invested in your economy for 3 turns straight, is the way it seems. I must have misread your orders to invest in science as invest in economy. If this is the case, and it very well may be, I propologise. You can have the 3 sciences, but it'll cost you an economy. (That means you'd go down to 3 from the 4 you've got, and you'd have just 2 invested)

Heh... still not bronze age! :p

I gave you a hint last turn, man... Should have wasted your wad on it. BUT NOOOOO!!! You had to go and invest in ECONOMY...

It was a rather dark day in the history books, when the first person learnt to ride a Moa. Well that isn’t strictly true, the Moa rode the first person, to a bloody pulp. But the idea stuck, if the Moa could somehow contrive a means of getting on top of a person and goading them into an awkward bone crushing and cracking shuffle then a person could do the reverse. The lack of bone crushing and cracking was an added bonus, there were lots of Moa… but in hindsight not enough to crush and crack your way to the other side of the islands. Suffice to say not killing your mount on the way to somewhere just by virtue of riding it was a good thing… which would swiftly become an evil thing.

It was merely an added bonus, that a species of Moa was found to enjoy the taste of blood, and derived some sort of perverted pleasure from being saddled and harnessed. Partly because as everyone knows Moa’s are evil tempered creatures, with a hankering for human flesh anyway, they just don’t enjoy the blood, so one ends up being slowly devoured by a giant bird with a penchant for flesh and not blood. It’s no wonder that they are called somewhat affectionately the mess birds… the net result of this dislike of blood was a useless mount for war. A mount which after it had killed its enemies, stopped and lightly begin to flense the flesh of the body, not all together a quick process, and it would add another body to the pile if you tried to stop it.

Spoiler ROMAN ORDERS :

Domestic Orders:
1. Create a UU called the Legionaries. Selected from the poorest and most unforunate of Rome and it's empire at a young age, these boys are intensely trained for at least 15 years or until they are 20, then they, and their fellow soldiers are formed into a Legion for a service until they are 50. They are the finest soldiers in the world, with flawless displcine and the upmost best in fighting ability, they are a terror to behold on the battlefield, especially when they deploy in what is now being called the chechboard formation, named after the popular game in Rome called chess.
2. After paying upkeep, spend one jack on army, and the rest on getting as much as legionaries as possible.
3. Give southern half of Sardinia and the western half of Sicily to Carthage if they want it and pay one jack for it.

OOC:@Amon, You missed DarthNader's last orders at the bottom of page 15 for last update, he made the deal for the islands and agreed to create the MPP, which I still agree to. Just hoping you fix things at least regarding Carthage to Rome stuff.

Military Orders: This is assuming that with the money from Carthage paying for the islands, that I have 7 armies and 2 Legionaries.
1. Have four armies and a legionary push to the rhine river and immediately fortify against attack. However if no attack comes, push along the coast to OTL the Netherlands.
2. Have two armies and a legionaries push to the Danube and fortify it against attack. However, if no attack comes, have them keep fortifing.
3. Have a army in Rome to protect it against unforeseen attacks.

The Story of Amon

The Story of Amon is a relatively new one. How Amon destroyed all the gods and reigned supreme over all. This is new. Our Emperor Gilgamesh IV had his ancestor meet him after his victory. Only 200 years ago, Amon was not the only god.

How did that happen though one might ask.

Amon was once a simple deity, a weak god of war. One day when he was conversing with Baacha, the goddess of death, he learned of a terrible secret. The Magical Dice.

The Magical Dice determines all that happens in our world and in the world of the gods. Nothing can go against the will of the dice. And the oddest part; they may be influenced, but never controlled. But we will get to that another day. The point being, is that now, Amon had limitless power at his very fingertips.

Baacha could sense the energy of the dice and turned to Amon, about to blast him into smithereens, when out of fright, Amon dropped the dice. Snake eyes! The blast backfired and Baacha was no more.

The details here are odd, but we do know that slowly, Amon became obsessed with the dice. He spawned lesser minions, preparing his army against that of the gods. The two armies clashed on the Plains of Ending, in which a single roll from the dice obliterated the gods armies. Quickly securing his rule by eliminating the others with his dice, Amon proclaimed himself god. With power gained from the die, he subdued and absorbed the sun, moon, and wind gods, taking their powers for himself.

That is the Story of Amon.
