ASNES- Not going to end this time!

Update is being started NOW! If you haven't sent orders, may I have mercy on your civ.

Year 4300 BC [[[[[[[UPDATE 7]]]]]]]]

The Aztex Empire continues to grow further, quickly assimiliating more small tribes in their area. The Aztex Empire becomes richer and more powerful than anything else in the area. No competition has been formed yet, though there are tribes out there that have heard of Aztex might and wealth, and anvy it. There could be coalitions formed soon in response to the rampant growth of this empire.

Babylonians disaprear into the mists of time.

Britain expands.

Fendiar's economy flourishes, and they build a town but I'm not sure what it's going to be called (Grombar, give it a name). They have now a rival to their northeast. Those people call themselves the "Qin". They are but a barbarian tribe, so the Fendiar believe.

The Han Oi take heed to the call of arms that is all around them and make sure to create a cache of arms to counter any threat that may come from any foreign foe.

The Janjaweed further civilize themselves by enforcing taxes and send out war rafts to other civilizations that they used to war against. Some of these rafts are lost at sea, others make it to their destinations and talks of trade, especially with the Han Oi, have started.

The Kan have started to impliment horses into their military. They are now boasting a powerful new weapon on the fields of warfare, the horseman.

The Nias civilization seems to be going through a golden age, as multiple inventions come from this land. The invention of the early trireme, and copper working come on in this century, and many inventions in medicine and more masterful stone working. These people are now challenged on some islands, however, by tribe coalitions that have designs on taking advantage of all of the wealth that can be plundered in Nias lands. The Tyg (Red) and Flint Coalition (Peach)

The Rajai, too, have entered a "golden age", after their latest military exploit. At the end of the century, they end up creating multiple pieces of military technology, and end up learning to use copper, so that these weapons would be made more efficient. The Rajai make the first curved sword to be used in battle, and experiment with different types of armor. Their spears are becoming legend throughout all of Siam, as some Han Oi citizens describe some of their knives as sharp as a "Rajai Spear" (More about their military exploits below). Only 2 thousand new style weapons have been made for the Rajai. Anyone carrying the old style stone weapons are not considered "Well armed" anymore. (The effects of this will be seen in the next century)

The Rajai religion also takes roots in conquered lands, and some slaves wouldn't mind assimilating into the Rajai collective, in mutual worship of the Golden Bird.

The Ravindra are borderline golden age, too, as they build their "Holy City" and start unifying their tribes under the worship of the "Great Tapestry". They send convert missions all over, and their culture quickly takes hold as neighboring tribespeople make a trip to the Holy City. The Ravindra are the first civilization in the world to mold gold, and start using it as a type of currency.

Part of the Ratajok tribe gets assimilated to the Nias tribe.

The Great Rajai War

Rajai amass their hordes on the border of Anjawa and prepair to invade. As this army is prepairing, the army of Fendiar step foot into Rajai lands, and win decisively in 3 skirmishes against scouts and a force of 2000 well armed men and many not so well armed men.

After these minor victories, the Fendiar army moved toward the border between Anjawa and Rajai, where the main Rajai army was waiting. Anjawa forces heard both of the location of the Rajai buildup and of the Fendiar army moving in. They prepaired their army to sandwitch the Rajai.

The Anjawa assembled and marched north, to be stopped in their tracks by a 3 pronged Rajai attack. Using the fireballs to their advantage, the Rajai struck a serious blow to the Anjawa. The Anjawa army was forced to retreat, but the Rajai could not exploit this, because the Fendiar army had just arrived.

The Rajai army turned around and fought fiercely against the Fendiar, who were very prepaired this time around for all the tools that the Rajai had to offer. The Fendiar were eventually overran due to numbers, over time, and were forced into a general retreat. This was an orderly retreat, and the Rajai could not destroy the Fendiar force outright, being too tired to make a full out persuit.

The 3 armies camped relatively close to one another. The Rajai force camping in between the 2 enemy camps. That night, the Anjawa attacked and put to flight a third of the Rajai army before they were turned back.

The next day, the Rajai formed into their 3 armies. The first army set about making defenses against the Fendiar, while another attacked the Anjawa in a frontal assault, and the third taking the Anjawa flank as they were in battle against the second.

The first army started to give way after a small amount of fighting against the professionals of Fendiar, but what happened soon after would leave the field in the hands of the Rajai...

The second and third armies overran the Anjawa into retreat, and about faced to the Fendiar, when all of the scouting parties came to bear down on every side of the Fendiar army. The 3 armies then converged against the Fendiar army again, and this time broke them, and drove them out of the region. The Fendiar army then had to retreat back to their lands, leaving the Anjawa to their fate.

Many other skirmishes followed this great battle, and almost always ended up in favor of the Rajai. It seems as if the Anjawa are to be lost to the mists of time.

Someone thinks highly of themself. :p

@Amon- E-e-excellent. More challengers.

I'm going to be gone for almost all of July. :( Just after you get back I think. So I'll send long-term orders. Will that be alright?

Yes that will be alright. I'm expecting 2 updates before then, however, so keep on with the short term till I move.

Naval History of Nias

As I was saying, something had to give. That something was a generally nondescript Niasian traveler named Nimat. Nimat was moving to Sumatra, with the entirety of his immediate family. With little entertainment and significant discomfort, one can only imagine the horror of the trip.

"Are we there yet?"

"No."

"Are we there yet?"

"No."

"Are we there yet?"

"NO! Go eat your fish."

"I lost it."

"It was our last fish!"

"I'm hungry!"

"You weren't hungry a second ago."

"I am NOW! Are we there yet? I want to eat."

"QUIET!!!"

"Where's the baby!?!"

"Maybe he swam off to get some good food. Are we there yet?"

"AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAGGGGHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!"

Following over forty days of mental and physical agony, a near-dissolution of the marriage, and the 'loss' of a baby and one annoying child, Nimat and his family arrived on Sumatra.

"Never again." he swore.

After completing the construction of a beachfront home, Nimat began to plan an invention to forever end the anguished agony of sea travel.

To be continued...

hmm, on the map my country reminds me of a urine stained carpet...

[NATIONBASH]Your country IS an urine-stained carpet.[/NATIONBASH]

I sincerely apologise for the above. It was, as they say, too good to pass.

The Rajai make the first curved sword

That alone makes me happy. Impromptu exsanguination is much easier with a sword, especially a curved sword.

The campaigning is getting intense; though I must say that the straightforward overland invasion was a bit predictable on Fendiar's part.

The Anjawa envoy was sacrificed upon arrival and never heard from again.

The Han Oi env oi was sacrificed upon arrival and never heard from again.

@Das - Not much else I could think of, Im still learning the name of the game when it comes to wars/battles. We shall see if I can do something better this turn!

@Iggy - Im the Orange blob.

@Amon - Do the trade agreement Eco levels get added directly to the stats or do I just use an extra one this turn because of my trade agreement with the Kan?

lol, you gain an at uh boy for your sacrificing of envoys, Das. That means you get to cash your 10 in for an economy level this turn, if you'd like.

Yes, the Rajai invent a curced sword of copper. It's in the udpate.

Grombar, you can either spend an extra economy, or let it go to the stats. Either way makes no difference to me. Reminder- The Kan sent you diplomacy.

Ill be naming the city, responding to the Kan and working on a story/orders this afternoon once things here at work die down a bit more.

Consider my post on the other thread about the nature of bronze hereby revoked. ;)

lol, Grand... All has come under the scheme of Amon, creator of all things in this NES. He who takes the form of the Golden Bird and the Great Tapestry ;)

The towns name shall be Ikador in honor of the God of Thunder and Lightning who gave us the strength to hold out against the bloodlusted Rajai and hopefully soon to give us a win against them!

Yay for 'near golden age'!

And dont worry i'll remind you to place that city on the map.

So im the first to use gold as currency... thats gonna be useful... :P
I think however the discovery of gold will lead to other metals due to the fact that its too soft to be very helpful for anything other than ornamental tattooing via burning it into your skin and if it came out of the ground surely other things can too!
