Atlantic Treaty Organization-TWTUD Subthread

As will Germany, and hopefully every able ATO nation.

As agreed upon before, every nation that invests in the research will recieve the technology and any of its prerequisites.

America will also be establishing the Atlantic Treaty Research Institution in New York City, as a housing facility for all future technological researchs.

UCS will gladly pay 1 IC a year towards research.

The coming turn Germany will donate Advanced Atomic Research to the ATO, provided that it is made clear what exactly we're currently researching/have researched.

With the successful completion of Advanced Piston Fighters, the USA feels we should begin work on Transport Planes.

We also feel that Computing Machines may be a worthwhile endeavor to pursue in the near future.

Spain Agrees with the notion for Transport Planes

but instead of "Computing Machines", we suggest that we continue with our current goal and Research "Jet Engines", so we may construct Jet fighter Squadrons.

Jet fighters requires Rocketry to research, which not many of our members have, though if we remember correctly, Spain was planning on sharing Rocketry this year.

Computing machines will allow us to not only stay on par with other alliances, but also allow us to further our research in the Rocketry field.

Either way, it is best left to a vote.

America votes to pursue Computing Machines upon completion of Transport Planes.

we suggest the USA check the list again. all ATO nations now posses Rocketry, except Holland and Belgium. they will be receiving it this turn unless an act of God (read:moderator) decides otherwise.
the main reason we suggest Jet Engines is that the sooner we acquire the tech, the sooner we can begin building up a force of them.

we agree though, there should be a vote.
Spain votes to Pursue Jet Engines after the completion of Transport planes.

we also suggest, that even if Jet engines win, that computing machines be regulated to the third priority.

Germany can probably find a way to receive Computing Machines and advises the other members not to focus on this.

Germany also votes for Jet Engines as an ultimate goal.

Scratch that: Germany can't obtain Computing Machines but still votes for Jet Engines.

Eire votes for Computing Machines before Jet Engines we should not put all our eggs in one basket so to speak, while flying is all good and fun there are other things in this world.

The AA would consider offering you Computing Machines for Jet Engines or Transports +difference in IC if you research one of those. No guarantee, but the offer is out there of course.

To the Founding Members of the Atlantic Treaty Organisation (ATO),

Despite turning down the initial invitation of joining the ATO, the United Kingdom of Scandiavia has come to realise that in this world, nuetrality means nothing to those who want to destroy your nation. As such, while we still would continue with our policy of Neutrality, we ask that the ATO consider a petition of application for the United Kingdom to become a member of the ATO.

We would support the Action of War to protect another ATO nation, as well as the 'donation' for research. However, we would not support the ATO if any agression was made by her.

We realise that we turned down the initial offer, but have come to the realisation that one nation cannot continue to grow and prosper in this world if said nation has no allies. That is why I ask the Council, or founding members to consider the United Kingdom of Scandivia for the application to become a member of the ATO.

Yours Sincerely,

Karl Staaf

Prime Minister of the United Kingdom of Scandiavia
Presiding Minister of Sweden
