Attention Divorce Lawyers, Ashley Madison Hacked!

I would guess most of us don't cheat even if we drop some bull about "muh b***h be fat." That's the sort of guy that gets caught and she's better off when he's gone, of course. :)

I would say that most men want to cheat and don't. AM is/was a place to to get closer to to doing so without crossing the line. It was perhaps easier than hanging out in bars and singles clubs.

It has now been exactly 2 weeks since the Ashley Madison CEO Noel Biderman resigned.

Yeah... and sometimes more damage is probable to happen...

:undecide:

I'm still a bit divided on the whole issue, but I continue to hope that this will lead to more people being concerned about their security and privacy.

The suicides continue to pile up.
The latest one is a pastor.

John Gibson was pastor of First Southern Baptist Church in Pearlington, Mississippi, and a professor at New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary’s Leavell College. He was a married father of two. He was 56. And his name was on the Ashley Madison list. On August 24, six days after the hacked information went public, he committed suicide. His wife Christi, who found his body, recalled the moment to CNN Money on Tuesday, saying, “I had to call my kids. How do you tell your kids that their dad is gone and that he took his own life?” And she revealed that in his note, he spoke of the hack. “He talked about depression. He talked about having his name on there, and he said he was just very, very sorry. What we know about him is that he poured his life into other people, and he offered grace and mercy and forgiveness to everyone else, but somehow he couldn’t extend that to himself.”

It was fun finding out Ashley Madison was mostly fake.
It could hardly be a hotbed of affairs with so few live women participating.
And that the hackers terrorists? appear validated in their assertions about the millions of dollars Ashley Madison made to erase account history being fraudulent was also surprising.

Now all the consequences are occurring in the dark. It's hard to gauge how bad it is.
No way Ashley Madison survives all the lawsuits.
The website is dead, right?

No, the website is still up.

So I guess that since Ashley Madison was totally fake,* people are going to apologize for demonizing the supposed cheaters who didn't actually cheat as there weren't any women with whom to cheat.

Right?

*interestingly, I heard a news story that while the website concocted nonsense for straight men looking for straight women, it did not interfere with gay men and women connecting. The end result being that Ashley Madison was a pretty decent gay dating site.

Probably cheaper too. But I'm just not sure what you mean about "want to cheat." I see desirable women all the time, I think my flights of fancy are pretty well developed, but I don't want to cheat. If I somehow managed to, which would seem a neat confluence of a really stupid female, a really stupid me, and who knows what else, I'd say that would probably take the cake as most total failure of decent personhood I'd manage to come up with short of deciding off the cuff to become a violent criminal.

I think that males are genetically programmed more towards "more sex with more women" than "sex with one woman". We are constrained by social and cultural norms. I think AM was a place to pretend you weren't restricted.

I love women!
(the hotter-the more)
Ok, just kidding, women are great... especially sexy ones...
ah, here I go again, nevermind
