Republic of Germany - Story and stuff

I am not really sure of how things work.......and after reading rules a few times i came to the conclution we can grow economy and other things at teh same turn as long as they seem realistic to story line, but if i am doing something wrong, tell me and ill change it fit the rules.

Germany had come out of the depresion, the economy had become stable, and the political and social view of the nation had been balanced, still many were unemployed, but Germany was to change this, In an unprecedented step, Premier of Germany, Erwin Rommel, declared a rebuilding of the german Luftwaffe, or air force, germany had come out of WWII w/ plenty of knowledge on aerodinamics, rocket technology and jet propulsion among others.
The plan was to stablish and use the knowldege of the jet engine to create the first series of jet-turbine commercial transports, now it would be easy to move passangers and cargo across the continent! it would both increase research on the topic, but continue helping the economy by providing a new job source and opening a whole new market!
The first commercil jet came out in 1957, wining a record of ammount of cargo it could carry and average range! it would fly to Scandinavia, then to London and then in the USA, all this to bring possible buyers to invest in germany.

The new developments and research on Jet Engine would also help germany, the russians had begun to build HUGE ammounts of army divisions among the border and it was unknown if they woudl attack, Rommel responded by starting the production of a new jet engine super stuka diver, designed to kill tanks and other planes.

Sicili-The great statue to honor the great Mafia leaders of the past 25 years has been completed in Sicili! people are waving italian flags in singing the national anthem around...this will really help out nations confidence! On the unveiling of the statue, 700,000 people were sitting there waiting for the curtain to be pulled of the statue....when the curtain was pulled off horns sounded and cannons went off....people cheered very, very loudly and started to wave their flags as the national anthem played on the speakers along the Main Street in Sicili....this is truly a great day for EVERYONE in Italy.

A new napoleon was crown as empror of France!
Napoleon the 4th decleares that the ones magnificant Franch empire will be built ones again!

As first matter of buisness a huge drop in texas have been made togheter with growing inner trade in the country.
New industries have begun to be built in Southern france.
Many unemployed people finaly got word and the economy begin getting out of reccesion.

Second matter of buisness was the invasion of Algeria.
This country wich have a tiny army and no navy or air-force at all was to become the most important coquest of the new Franch monarchy and was also going to be another Industrial house for France.
The orders were given and a huge invasion begun into Algeria.

The first battle was the landing in the capital, after it what that left was the conquest of what left of the country.
The huge air-force of france easily won in the air and begun bombing runs on the tiny algerian army.
Even napoleon himself went to the fight to fight for his country.

Byzantium, the ethnic Greek rebellion in Turkey, has been almost completely triumphant in its rebellion.
The Turkish Republic has all but collaspsed save for their stronghold in Bursa and the surrounding areas; even the Turk capital of Ancyra fell.

The rebellion has been relatively short, streching over only 10 major land battles.
The Battle of Izmir, and the Battle of Trabzond. These were the initial battles of the Rebellion right after Ioannes IX Preatorian declared Byzantine independence.
Then the 1st Battle of Bursa, and the battle of Kastamonu. These battles were the first attempt by the Byzantines to link up their two bases of power in Turkey. The Western forces marched out of Izmir against the Turk garrison at Bursa which turned into more a seige than an outright battle. The Eastern forces marched from Trabzond against the northern strategic city of Kastamonu. The former was a victory for the Republic, and the latter a victory for the Empire. The Eastern army pushed westward towards Bursa leading to...
The 2nd Battle of Bursa. This was a joint attempt by both halves of the Byzantine army to take Bursa, in the north of Turkey. Again it failed and the Byzantines were forced into a retreat.
The Battle of Kars. The battle of Kars was an attempt by the Republic to dislodge Imperial rulership in the East, and it would have been successful if the Party Government had supplied the invading force with proper logistical support. However support was minimal and the invasion was repulsed just east of Kars.
The Battle of Erzurum. After the battle of Kars, the Byzantines saw the opportunite to gain more lands in the east. Charging forth they reached Erzurum and battled with the Turks just outside the city. The Republic fell back, and the Empire assumed control of the area.
The Battle of Antalya. Antalya, a great Byzantine city on the Turkish southern frontier. The Turks pushed across the border from Isparta and attacked the Byzantines at Antalya. The fighting was brief, and ended in victory for the Byzantines.
The Battle of Antioch. After their victory in Erzurum, the Byzantines refreshed themselves and then resumed chasing the Turkish army southwards. They finally caught up with them at the great southern port city of Ankara, where they had sug themselves in. The Byzantines destroyed the entire Eastern Turk army here.
The Battle of Ankara(Angora/Ancyra). The Byzantines jubilant from their recent victories in Antalya, and Antioch, met just south of Angora in the village of Kulu and then moved to invade the Turk seat of Government. Here the fighting was most difficult, the Byzantines had to fight the Turks block by block, for nearly 6 weeks the Byzantines and Turks battled through Angora until eventually the Turks were too tired to continue and either surrendered or fled.

Emperor Ioannes wondered why it seemed so easy for his untrained rebel army to defeat the better trained and equipped Turk army so easily.
His generals theorised that the ease of their victory came from the fact that shortly after the battle of Erzurum the Turkish Workers Party finally declared the Liberal Party illegal in the Republic, and many who supported the Liberals, in the army and the populace, simply allowed the Byzantines to advance; and maybe even helped them along the way.
The Emperor was not sure if this was good news, or a sign of continued trouble if he was to assume rulership over the entire country.

Update 1960 A.D.

France Invades Algeria! Almost as quickly as new leadership approached France, Algeria was under the control of French military. An unprecedented 100 hour attack left very little casualties on the French side, and a lot of land to show for it. However, the cost of a short notice invasion weighs heavy and the people are not pleased. (Those frogs….)
(What happens now, for 5 years, 1 turn, Algeria will go into social unrest, and if I feel fit, may never accept the government.)

Germany begins research on the jet engine. If successful, this could be the greatest invention since the airplane. Research labs begin to spring up, creating thousands of jobs, stimulating the economy. They have hopes of a military use in the future. (turn 1 of 2)

The USSR has established martial law in Poland in hopes that the revolution talks are shot down. All this has done is angered the citizens and small skirmishes with the military have been reported. USSR government denies any loss of life or unrest.

Ethiopia has bought Somalia. They have sent men to fight in Italian ranks in exchange for land along the coast of the Indian Ocean. This has cut trade time down significantly and is saving money, causing the economy to rise.

The Mafia’s Tribute has been completed on time and on budget. The people of Italy are happy and flood the enlistment office and join the navy! Maybe that was the plan all along….

The Byzantine Uprising has ended with the last of the Turkish forces surrendering. It is not known yet what the rebels will do with those in command. The nation is now theirs to control.

The UK has begun to train troops.

The USA has become more and more distant from the world stage, now cutting off trade with Mexico. Chicago has become flooded with minorities, looking for work on the military project.

The Jet Engine : The Future Today !
German scientists continue working on the developing of the Jet engine, having been invented during the war, it was simply too unstable for mass production and civilian use, today, the greatest minds of germany work day and night perfectioning it, many new designes are being created for testing, the Messer-Boeinger Jet propulsion heavy long range transport is the most prominent having passed many tests, it will be expected for full mass production soon! which in the future will provide another source fo income for thousands of familys!
It is also rumored of the testing of new military jets, the so called super-stuka tank killer, was a failure, a major problem had been found and its under redesign, back to the drawing boards!
the progress of these new generation fighter/bombers is unkonown, but w/ the fast speed of the civilain research, we can only guess........

The conquest of Algeria have succeed!
Many soldeirs were sent to Algeria to begin bringing peace.
Also new factories begun to pop up in the shores of Algeria.
France would not let her most important colony be sad or not strong. Algeria must be modarnaized.

The massive economic grouth begun to show itself when the economy went up.
Still the economy was not yet stable.
A fast build up of industry and comercial buildings in Algeria begun to take place. Emperor Napoleon the 4th watched carfully as the biggest Industry in the world was built in Algir.

Napoleon knew that the Algerians won't like the Franch rule, he decided to bring up a puppet algerian king to rule the algerian protectorat.
A rich Algerian man from the last royal family was chosen and put up in place of the King of the Algerian protectorat.
This move, Napoleon hoped, will make the Algerians happier togheter with the built up in theur country.

South to Algeria Greater Mali stood in the way of France.
This area, mostly deserted desert, was not well defended and the greater Mali armies were truly ones of the weakest in the World. But still Greater Mali was huge, and in 1 year Napoleon armies won't be able to conquer the Country.
Napoleon decided to wait with greater mali to another day.

Cameron was another important target for France.
In the past it was a german colony, and was right on the place where western africa is connected to the South.
But Cameron wasn't conneceted to France by anyway, and still Napoleon decided this as it's next target for his armies.
Spies in Cameron reported a big but very inefective army. Cameron hd no ships in their harbors and starvasion all around the poor country made many civil diorders from time to time. The army was supose to land in Cameron main port and land the armies.
A propeganda work to the people to join the Franch empire for food begun all over Cameron.soon it will be Franch

Italian Orders-

Italian Story-
Now that our navy and army were very large and superior...all that is left to do is increase our Air force....with our superiour army, navy, and air force if anyne will attack us we can hold our own...or if we attack someone we will win...so, if we make more people join the air force...we can fly superior...we will rule the land, seas and air......we probobly will attack someone later on because we are farther ahead in everything than many other countries....but only when the time is right...we will not make any foolish mistakes

People love our Mafias Tribute....they ran right to the office and signed up for the navy because the were inspired to fight....and the mafia's tribute featured a beatiful garden which was the best in Italy. Everyone LOVED these gardens. Italy was so much stronger becsuase of this monument....and the fact it was on time and on budget helped even more...it was great....EVERYONE LOVED IT!


Italy is great right now, and it is mostly because of the hard working people, the wonderful government, the great monuments, industrialized cities, and bond as a country.

erez, you cannot benefit yet from Algeria, because "technically" you dont control it yet. Your military controls it, however the government and the people are still Algerian. Its like in the game when cities have the rioting.
