What is more frustrating about this is that he is telling John Howard and the families of the victims to turn to Islam.

Why should he appologise if he had nothing to do with the attack (as he claims)?

To sugest that turning to the religion he belives is true would help with grief is a quite resnoble statement. I would say the same about christianity.

That might be so , but you have to understand the context in which he is making that statement , and the context in this case makes it plain that it was crass , insensitive , and just a plain stupid thing to say .
