heh awesome, i was sure youll be busy to help, great that ur willing to join with what you can.

ill send you the xml files so you can work on what ever you can.

anything you can come up with, text, xml work, ideas, feel free to add in stuff and change.

for now - there is no art at all, im focusing on the xml first, but you can do some work with it if u wish.

and thanks for the missing dds -il add it, also - i think i can add slides with nifscope.

i guess that tech tree for col is kinda complicated to add in. but i looked a bit on your work there, it seems you brought life into colonization, which i never played - maybe ill try your mod :)
it comes and goes, i didnt mod for more then a year ...so maybe in the future youll get back to it.

also - i got the soundtrack of the john carter movie - i thought ill use it at some point.

My mistake, you two have similar avatars and I confused them. Dune Wars is quality work as well so my comment stands. ;)

anyways,

more xml work:
civics arranged on tech tree.
tech costs
added in 1 more civ : torques of the green martian clans.
added lotz more buildings.

currently adding and changing buildings,
giving religion wonders, and more
doing some cool stuff with the xml.


after im satisfied with the buildings, ill go back to the units.

soooo much to do !
 
HI,

i was thinking on giving each 2 factions a unique corporation, so there will be 5 unique corporations that will give unique bonus that will be used for special units and buildings.

and on top - to have 5 other common corporations that will change commerce and such.

10 total corps.

so each player can get maybe 1 of 5 unique corps, and 1 of 5 regular corporations.

so a player can have a total of 2 corps - or none :)

or:

link corporation to a religion - with a building that needs a specific holy city.

ideas anyone?

I see Master of Mana is making a cool new Mushroom Forest feature.. if there are strange forests on Barsoom, maybe could ask tesb if you can borrow it, or feel free to use the alien forest features from my mod :scan:

im using ur nifs package - great thing!

heres a photo of the latest work on the bonuses - ive finished the core list of them with new arts and some barrowed from other mods, now moving on to civilization arts.

Looks nifty, I like the murky water :king:

BTW here is an easy trick to easily stretch or squash part of any nif if you want to make it look more alien or distorted:

open the nif in nifskope, then select any of the NiTriShape elements (can simply left-click on the image and it shows the selected wireframe). Then right-click the image and select Transform -> Scale Vertices. You can change the X Y or Z dimensions to stretch the selected shape along that axis.

If you play with it a bit that can transform the vanilla nifs with some pretty interesting effects. That's how I made the "Native Beetles" resource in my mod, they are actually flattened Sheep! :lol::p
