Battlefield 1942

I was just wondering if anyone here played BF1942 and if so, what server you play on. Maybe we could play a couple of games and if enough people play we could start a small clan.

For those of you who don't know what BF1942 is, I'll give a brief description. It is a first-person action game that takes place in World War 2. You can be one of five classes (Scout, Assualt, Anti-Tank, Medic, Engineer) and pilot many vehicles (tanks, planes, destroyers, carriers, submarines, APCs, halftracks, etc.) aroud 16 different maps (in regular verison) or 22 (including maps from expansion). Maps take place on the Western Front (Omaha Beach, Bocage, Market Garden, Battle of the Bulge), Eastern Front (Kharkov, Kursk, Stalingrad, Berlin), Pacific Theater (Wake Island, Midway, Guadalcanal, Iwo Jima), North African Theater (Tobruk, Operation Battleaxe, El Alamein, Gazala, and the Italian Front (expansion only, Anzio, Monte Cassino, Salerno, Monte Sante Croce, Operation Baytown, Operation Husky). Also, there are many user-created maps and mods and two maps released by EA (Operation Aberbeen, Africa and Battle of the Coral Sea, Pacific). If you don't have this game, I highly recommend it. the full game and the expansion both received PC Gamer Editor's Choice awards and the full game received the PC Gamer Game of the year award.

I play BF1942 but not as much anymore. I play more of CounterStrike now but when I do play BF, I play at the Cave CTF server.

I am also going to participate in a tournament at the end of April for BF1942

I play BF 1942 a lot right now, but not on any specific server. I just look for servers with many players and good ping. I often find myself at Boomtown #7 or #8 though, so perhaps you could find me there.

Also, I tend to play Desert Combat more than regular BF, can't remember the name of any DC server I usually play on.

Oh, and my name in BF is the same as it is here on the forums

Hehe, I used to do that too, but then I finally went and bought the game so I could be a bit more picky about which server I should grace with my presence

The thing I miss about the cracked servers though, is that I used to win on them, or at lest finish in the top three. Nowdays I'm lucky if I manage to squeeze into the top ten.
