Best commander load outs deity

What's the combo for smashing deity in ancient era? I usually go assault 1, defense 1, then assault left-side down to +5 bonus accommodation.

I make sure to have+4 war support, cycle units in and out, but still struggle.

Any thoughts?

I'm using assault 1 -> defense left branch till commendation +5cs -> something else

Defense is great, because you build fortifications instantly and get extra cs from them, so your blocker units are more durable during the siege.

With Assyrian cavalry you can even attack and build fortifications on the same turn.

I like that, I'm going to give it a try. I thought about giving the heroic strike a try combined with leadership tree. I wonder when it says "commander cool down time", is that respawn time or ability time?
