Best double UU punch?

The other day I played mongolia and allied a couple city states along the way that happened to give me mandekalu cavalry. I then proceeded to tear up the map with keshieks and swoop-in captures with the Songhai UU and I couldn't help but marvel at how effective it was.

Anyone have any similar experiences with other UU's?

I'd imagine that carolean and cossack would be devastating as well; the carolean could walk and fight every turn without needing to heal while the cossack finishes units off.
 
Wow, I'm not sure if you can beat the combination you had. The Mongols already have a pretty good one with Keshiks and Khans.
Not exactly what you brought up, but I imagine getting Jaguars from a CS then upgrading them to Minutemen as America would be a really nifty double UU punch.
 
I am putting all of my brain's theorycrafting potential together and I'm having a very difficult time coming up with a better pairing than the Horsemen of the Apocalypse you've got up there. The only issue I see with it is that they both are limited by how many horses you have, but obviously you can just go get some from your neighbor. Yikes.
 
I got Panzers as America once. B-17s, upgraded minutemen and Panzers made for a pretty wicked Blitzkrieg but I still don't think it matches the Mandekalu Keshik combo.

:confused:...As Arabia or Mongolia? Keshiks would kind of stink for Arabia since they wouldn't have the Mongolian UA. Might as well just have more Camel Archers instead. Even as Mongolia I'd rather be gifted a melee mounted unit to take cities with rather than get Camel Archers even though they'd be pretty kickass with the Mongolian UA giving them that extra move. I think the Mandekalu would still be better.

Another nice combo would be playing as China and getting gifted Samurai. Good meatshields generating lots of GG points with China's UA and their Great General promotion while protecting your CKNs.
 
I had a couple of CKN when playing Japan. Hurt the ennemies very badly then clear the path with Samurais.
 
I managed to get Keshiks when Playing China :D Let's just say my neighbors may have vanished...... Don't ask why I have a city name Vienna in my empire!

I mean, a good promoted Kris is good with anything.

Kilimanjaro is killer in combination with keshiks or camel archers.
 
One time I was Sweden and received a couple Minutemen. Upgraded them to Caroleans. :king:

Not possible. Best militaristic CS gift upgrade is either Janissary -> Carolean or Minuteman -> Carolean.

Basically Caroleans are freaking awesome and making them any better is ludicrous.
