Best Music

I was just curious what games people thought had the best music.


I loved Herzog Zwei's and Lightening force (aka Thunder Force IV) and Streets of Rage 2 for the Genesis, Ninja Gaiden back in the days, and more recently Final Fantasy VII's music.

Also, I never played an old computer game called Burn Cycle, but a friend of mine said he thought I might like the soundtrack, and he was right I love it.

Grand Theft Auto 3 has pretty cool music.

My younger brother loves that game... I dug the techno station.... and of course the commercials

Yeah the commercials and Chatterbox were absolutly hillarious. But I also think some of the radio stations had some good music. The good news is that Lazlow will be back in Vice City and he will present the Rock station. Vice city will be cool.

GTA3 has far supperior music than any othe game I've ever played. And if it's not enough you can easily add your own mp3s!!

I actually like the music from Gran Turismo on PSX and even FIFA' 98. Gotta love Song 2 from Blur.

warcraft and blizzard games. Although war3 is disappointing, the soundtrack is, as usual for blizzard, awesome.
I'm also crazy for King's Quest saga soundtrack, especially KQ6. Girl in the tower. Oh and finally Lotus esprit from amiga..

mega man 2. i can play it just to listen to the music. blipp-blopp at it's very best.

hm, well the ps2 game pac-man world2 the blade mountain board sounds like an olympic theme. That is kind of nifty and of course I am partial to Spyro the Dragon!!!! I love that little purple guy!!!! He's just sooooooooo cute!!!!

GTA, Gran Turismo, as mentioned. Dungeon Keeper had nice atmospheric music too iirc

Wipout, Wipeout2097 had awesome music on PSX It was so perfectly suited to the game. I always thought the second level of DOOM, Episode 2 was some scary ****... the sailor tune thingy that is.

Of the games I've played and there has been many- Warcraft 1 had the best music. And there's an old thread buried in this forum with the same topic, if you REALLY, REALLY must know

I get really pumped from the Ragna Rock club music in Max Payne; some of its other tunes are decent as well.

Btw, I got 700 megs of games soundtracks. Anything, absolutely everything. C&C red alert march, duke 3D, lucasarts etc...
I a great fan of game music. Really.
