She was the one who approached me on the street, if she was creeped out by my response then she's just bad at her job. Or maybe very good, because she seemed amused and happy that I just didn't ignore her like all the other people who she was trying to catch with her pitch. As for her number I wouldn't be surprised if it was fake, but I also wouldn't be surprised if it was real.
Anyway, talking to girls is easy. Just say things. Most people have mouths so saying things is easy. Saying things with confidence is harder, but you can get better at it with practice. Once you have all that mastered, things get a bit complicated, as you have to start understanding what she's saying back and what it all means. But that's life.

Honestly, what you said to her is best summarized as: "No, I'm not interested in the product you're selling, but would you allow me to become your stalker?" ...creeeeepy. Really creepy.
I agree with this advice though:
Just say honest things that don't make you sound like a creep.

Do you know what a stalker is? I was asking her for her number because I was romantically interested in her to some degree. If she wasn't, she would decline or give me a fake number.
Anyway, my whole point is that pickup lines don't matter so much. Just be able to hold conversation and be interesting. And if you can be funny, that will usually help too.

Yeah, but the way you did it is really creepy. Telling her that you're autistic and can just remember her number, that's just... weird, and I'm sure it shocked her, which is why I think she gave you a fake number, but of course it doesn't end there. Imagine how she then felt doing that job every day after that, knowing that you may come by and find her, and ask her about why you gave her a fake number, and become aggressive. That's just not okay.
