Hmmm, I guess it would be possible to do some check for global population and tie this into undead spawn rates which could help the early game. The only problem with this is that thematically it wouldn't make sense for more zombies to appear as society became larger and more developed, in fact the undead should become less of a threat as this happens! When the Destruction civic is fully implemented it will destroy city ruins which should help. What map size are you playing on btw?

And if x0diak or anyone wants to help with some modding without getting their hands dirty in python might I suggest having a look at this

which details how to modify the gamefonts.tga. It involves lots of tedious and careful maneovering but is purely graphical and would save me a lot of time! Basically I need the icons for the new undead specialist and religions added to the two gamefonts files.

For editing the gamefonts files it doesn't matter where you extract things, though to test if everything is working in game they would need to be in the Assets/res/fonts folder of the mod (which may need to be created). If cities religions are showing up correctly on the main screen, and the zombie specialist is showing up on the city screen, then things are working as they should!

Just so we are on the same page, for GameFont, the icon has to be 21x20 (width x height), for GameFont75 it has to be 16x16.
While I can resize them, you might not like the result as there obviously is some loss of detail involved, esp. since the icons have more detail than the regular civ icons. So if you rather provide something 'cleaner' (less detailled) in the correct size, than have me do a resize, feel free to do so.

For the religious icons, I would expect that the color icon is the one where in the current file the symbol has a star, while the grayscale icon is the one without the star. If this assumption is wrong, let me know.

And now for the great specialist, there is no need to add that icon, as the other great specialists are not in the GameFonts either ;)

EDIT: here are the icons resized to 16x16, I used some filters to preserve detail and sharpness, but at 16x16 there is a limit to how much can be accomplished that way. Sharpness is clearly better than from a simple resize, detail is slightly better.
I also included two gamefont religous icon samples, upscaled to 64x64, to show you how little detail is in those compared to yours (which is why they work better at that small size). If you rather have something else than these resized versions, please provide it.

Yes, having just re-checked it's obvious the specialist icons aren't in this file, they must be somewhere else, I'll have a root around.

:)Hi friends, i´m new in this forum, and i´d like to say that i love civ4. I should like also to make a question about this NECROCRISTI mod. In the factions screen only appear three of them. Is it right or do i have something wrong with my game and/or installation? There are only three leaders into "art" folder, too. Thanks a lot and apologies!:blush::blush:
 
Hey jlbasestar.

This mod is still in development. While I can assure you I've seen more factions than this, right now the mod is a little more stripped down at the moment to test key features. Rest assured, there'll be more than three factions in the final release. The game will also last longer as the middle and late game are currently not implemented.

Again though, I'm not involved in the making of this mod, this is just a summary from someone who's been paying attention to this mod for awhile. If I have made any errors in this recounting, please don't hold them against Colin.

Yes Tssha is correct, fations and leaders are slowly being added back into the game so when the next version comes out there will be 4 to choose from.

I'm not sure if I'm doing something stupid but my game keeps getting stuck on "waiting for other players" after a certain amount of turns. Are there any tricks I can do to get past this point? I've loaded my save a few times and it keeps getting stuck in at the same point.

I'm running the steam version of BtS and version 33 of the mod.
 
TEAM HORN, by 'certain number of turns' do you mean this happens every time you play? 'Waiting for other players' - does this mean you're playing multiplayer? If so I've not tested the game in multiplayer. You could upload the save file, though my version of BTS isn't steam so I don't know if it would be 100% compatible. Are you sure you have the latest patch i.e. downloaded it manually?

It was a single player game - I was using autosaves which have since been overwritten. Everything is also patched up to 3.19. I may be off on the message but it was message that shows up when the computer is doing their moves. I'll try it again tomorrow and if it happens again I'll upload the saves for you.

Aside from that it sure seems like a promising mod!
