Any comments on whether or not the additional maps are worth the effort?

OOC: Very nice, very nice. A little disappointed that we took so many casualties, though. Also, what happened to our attempts to incite revolt in the north-west?

FROM: Ethiopia
TO: Safavid Persia

You cannot hope to prevail against the forces now arrayed against you, but we and our allies have no desire to destroy you. Are you willing to discuss terms?

I would like the additional maps, if there was some detail on them...It might be too cluttered to do it this way, but on each map point out what changes...Or maybe do one map that shows the end of the update, and one animated GIF map that shows changes.

OOC: Inciting revolts? Maybe that was because of my reasonably high culture? and btw on a completely unrelated note, do you go to West Virginia University?

FROM: Safavid Persia
TO: Ethiopia

We'll get back to you on that. :)

No, I don't think so.

Culture: culture represents how influential a nation is with neighbors and colonies.
do you go to West Virginia University?
Nope. They couldn't pay me to go to WVU.

TO: Persia

Hurry. Our patience is not limitless.

OOC: Nice Update.... I'm just wondering, what exactly in clear terms did Venice do to Naples?

The Dorias will not be trifled with

Nothing, they knew the Genoans were there and skipped that part of their plan and went on to France.

Excellent:)

GREAT update!

I like the 3 map system

To Austria:

We thank you for your help against the Turk, and hope the peace between our nations may continue.

To Russia:

We thank you for your help and ask that some deal for the transfer of Constantinople be worked out, we are willing to pay or put troops under your command, as you need. However, should you decide to keep the city under Russian control, we want you to know that we would never harm our Orthodox brothers and would still wish to work with you against our enemies.

Very nice. I expected A LOT worse. There are two little things though: 1.) I am completely unaware of any islands in my territory called Peurto Rico or cities called San Juan; there is, however, an island of Borikén and a city of Mexico-Borikén, and 2.) how did none of the fortifications I had developed over nearly the past decade and a half have any effect? I recognise that my lack of orders damaged me, as it should have, but I developed those fortifications and readied my troops there for a reason and I would expect them (as well as the numerous Black and Amerindian slaves I liberated and Aztec immigrants) to have given some sort of resistance.

Anyhow, lovely update. I am very pleased with how you handled my troops in Calusa. Not exactly what I would have done, but pretty damn close. I will have an updated colonies map for you as soon as the Khmer, Japan, and Bengal provide me with the names for their unnamed colonies.

EDIT: I need names for the Portuguese colonies as well.

Bird, once again you forgot to make the TP into a TC. I just noticed. I dont expect you to repost the map, but can you edit it in your file so it happens next update?

The one at the mouth of the Niger?

yes, that one.

Didn't I dispatch a fleet to Africa also to take Bijapur's colonies? Nice update BTW....I'm surprised Bijapur collapsed so quickly.

Hmm, better than I expected. Very nice Bird, I'm surprised for a second time at the fact we haven't lost yet :).

To Spain

The treachery worthy only of a dog lies at your feet. Ten years- ten long years- have stood beside Spain and France in peace, only for you to throw it away with little hesitation. You dare break your vow after we have kept it so close to our minds? Did we not stand aside while you had your quarrels with the English and Dutch? Despite it clearly being in our better intrests to aid the Dutch we remained neutral and stood to the side. Now you spoil the olive branch that has kept war at bay.

Take notice of this now and pray for wisdom, my young friend. Remove those fools from soverign French territory now. While you have broken your word and we consider our pact broken; there is still a chance for you to avoid a dangerous war. It is with a hopeful heart that the last message is delived; but do know that with a vengeful mind we will chase you out of France as needed.

You did, but Persia got there first.

Bird, just to clarify: it was my understanding that Naples would be somewhat independent- allied to, but not an included part of Genoa. In addition, I hope you remember the fact about Naples paying France :).

You will need to remind me in your orders. The Neopolitans just love the Dorias. ;)

from Muhammad of Jerusalem:

to the Persian Shah:
You have lost Jerusalem to the dark evil of Ethiopia. I give you one year before we return to bring havoc on all that is not the perfect Islam.

to Ethiopia:
Retreat for the holy lands and from Jerusalem or suffer the consequences.

OOC: BirdJaguar I'll love to remember my old stats (mostly my faction leader, i'm sure he is not dead yet.) And I think you may need to make a new Jihad stats (or just work from the old once, since it is with the same leadership).
