BirdNES 3: Discussions & Questions

I'll get around to it asap (take this as the feared "tomorrow", since I'm heading for bed soon and has caught some kind of flu. I hope it'll go away in time for me to have time to write orders).

Sorry for the doublepost; I have now sent orders that are based on no crusade happening. please confirm that you have these, BeeJ.

Alex, I'll reply to your diplo in a short while...

Thank you sir, orders received just under the wire.

We getting closer towards an eta Beej?

Yes, my ETD (estimated time of departure) is 11:30 MDT. All aboard!

Meet me in St. Louis!

Your a card Beej, a real card.

Just so you know Bird, I am still in this NES. All that happened was I accidentally saved over the word document containing my orders and didn't have the time/energy to redo them.

Welcome back Bird. How was St Louis and the train ride? Did you really handwrite the update? :p
The trip was great as was the train ride. My daughter graduated and we got her moved out and into a place she is subletting for the summer while she TA's organic chemistry labs for a summer school program. Our son flew in from Philadelphia for a few days so we had a great reunion.

The train was too bumpy to write so I could only mentally plan the update. Mostly, I read "Anathem" by Neal Stevenson, played cribbage with my wife and ate while on the train. I had to teach last night and tonight and so won't get back to the update until tomorrow night. It has some interesting stuff going on.

Awww... a family reunion, how sweet ^_^

Really, NESING <<<< real life so take your time.

I currently have a computer problem that is getting worse. When i start my computer it goes to a blank destop and slowly over 15 to 30 minutes loads my icons, but fails to complete the boot. Cntrl alt del used to get me out of it, but that does not seem to work now. I am in safe mode ATM. :(

Do you know how the problem started?
It seemed to begin slowly a few weeks ago and then took progressively longer to load. Last night I booted in normal mode and went to bed, and by morning it was fully loaded and seems to be acting normal.

HAH. I just endorsed Anathem in the WWW thread. Choice book, Birdy, choice book. Most of the Baroque Cycle is also on my shelves.

A year or two ago, I discovered the bliss of "system recovery". Whenever my PC acts up, I simply "system recover" to a few days ago and voila! Problem solved. If you don't know what I'm talking about: look it up in your PC's help section, or google it. It's a blessing for everyone out there who don't really know how to fix PC problems, other then run a virus scan or call the helpdesk.

I appoligize for all the delays; my computer is back to normal and I will get back to the update this weekend.
