1517 was when the Abbasid Caliphate was officially surrendered to them- they had actually begun claiming it from much earlier, since Mehmed II.

Birdj next time put the deadline days in advance of when you actually want orders by.
 
I haven't sent orders. I need an official post about the crusade, from the pope. It's rather crucial to my orders this turn. So I won't get them written until BananaLee has posted his decleration - and afaik, he's caught up in some studies atm...
 
So we all have to wait for you!?

I can personally assure you that there is no crusade. Spain was not invited, so there is obviously nothing going on.
 
Well either we all have to wait for me or Kalmar has to run without orders this turnset, yes. Because I honestly can't know what'll happen if I don't know this. I'm sorry, and if it's being unreasonable, feel free to update without my orders. I think it's tight, though. We've only had 10 days, and when my orders are relying on someone else's (the pope's) statements, that's not a very long time.
