BirdNES 3: When Worlds Collide

From: Portugal
To: Kalmar Union

While it is true that the Japanese made us an offer to trade with them, we never accepted, as it was based out of our selling them Western weapons and ships that we weren't willing to part with.

We are happy to hear this.

You're being lazy and presumptious/offensive that other's should listen to you blindly without an explanation or visible credentials. I am near certain I know better than you on this topic (albeit you're likely better read in history than me in general) especially since you were asking about basics regarding the reformation earlier, which is a key event in modern western if not world history.

But saying 'always almost and always' in the earlier post was going a bit too far, and it would matter much less to the Japanese than Songhai, but I stand by the body of my case. I'll provide sources in a bit. I'll ignore the next post unless you actually make an argument.
*construction*

Lucky, I know you know your stuff, but good historians should be diligent scientists. You should post/send me a PM or IM me at least as to why I'm wrong, and at least wait for me to finish quoting and citing these sources before passing judgment on them. Unless I am saying something horribly ******** (I will honestly throw a wider net now to see if this is true) it is a bit rude to mock someone's position more than once without bothering to prove oneself correct.
It is true such polities as Venice in the sixteenth century openly rejoiced at the fall of Saint Elmo, but this was not without consequences in the courts and politics of Europe and neither did Byzantium escape disdain for its usually very reasonable treaties with its neighboring powers.

Oh ok, well thanks for letting me know. *googles Quaker Bestiality*

Thanks Abaddon, I'll put in some extra effort.
Please carry on everyone.
For other matters if I do something you [anyone] finds OOC please add a reason (doesn't have to be sourced), because if it is an issue I feel sure of and you don't add a reason and I don't trust you a lot or BJ doesn't actively agree it will be but a token protest.

From Alfonso II, Most Serene King of Naples and Jerusalem
To Andrea Gritti, Doge of Venice

I formally extend an offer of white peace between our two nations.

To: Pope Gregorious XIII
From: Philip I, Holy Roman Emperor

Father, as a faithful follower of the Church and God, I stand ready to follow you in any course of action you choose to take regarding the recent surge in reformist opinion throughout Europe.

On another matter, though I have been preoccupied since my election with campaigns in the Balkans, I would be most pleased if your Holiness were to do my the honor of crowning me Holy Roman Emperor. Should it please your Holiness to do so, I will travel to Rome as soon as possible.

As the Pope is now NPC, could you provide an answer to this when you get a chance Bird.

I have decided to stay as a lurker for now. So long and thanks for the update BJ and PMs players I was in touch with.

Spamishness deleted. I have been out of sorts for the last couple of days with an uncharacteristic cold and am now quite far behind in responding to pms. I will try to get to them today.

I will set up the updates too.

Still need those pms when you get the chance. Sorry about the cold.

coming right up!

I have decided I don't need to think about doing well. I will gain experience if I fail. Sending in orders for Dehli today.

Great, but keep in mind that there is a format for sending orders on page 1. You might find it helpful as a way to think about your turn. :)

That will be very helpful for him. :)

Do you have my second order set as the Delhi Sultanate? I can't find them. It's the one where I allied with Gujarat, Malwa or whatnot and invaded Vijaynagar and it would have worked had it not been for Ahamdnagar trechery.

I'm sure i do.

Thank you both.
Now that I have the materials thanks to your PMs I can take the time to change my orders to something workably aggressive.

workably aggressive.

The greatest pleasure is to vanquish your enemies and chase them before you, to rob them of their wealth and see those dear to them bathed in tears, to ride their horses and clasp to your bosom their wives and daughters.

Huh, your Delhi now? Or is Prinny? Or did you give the PM to the new Delhi?

EDIT: Oooh! Some fun for these bones! Such a long time since the last PC-PC war with me involved as the main participant!!
