Blue Marble Terrain

What else should I look for that tells me that blue marble is working with warlords. I didn't play warlords much before and I forget what it looked like when it was first installed. I have nothing to compare it to so I don't know if the blue marble is installed correctly. I thought the plains were always green, so that shows u what I know. Is there anything else to look for. Does it work with randomly generated terrain or just a certain map I should use? I loaded a map called earth18civs or something, is that correct? Also, how do I zoom out to see a globe view or satellite view of the earth?

thanks.

Just temporarily deinstall BlueMarble with a mouseclick in its installer menu to see how Warlords looks without it. ;)

I have warlords. I do not see the huge Earth map listed in the menu.
Unfortunately Firaxis did not include the Civ4 earth maps in Warlords. I prepared a little download to add them: http://forums.civfanatics.com/showthread.php?t=179572

To zoom out, press F11 or use the mouse wheel (back is out, forward is in)
And yes, uninstalling Blue Marble will definetely show you the difference. And you can always play any map, it just changes the graphics.
Also, it isn't "running". It just is. Civ4 comes with all the default graphics in some files in the Program Files folder. When you install Blue Marble, it puts its files in the My Games folder, which is in My Documents. The game always uses what is in My Games first, and if there is nothing there, it uses the defaults in the Program Files folder. This is so that you can install new graphichs by putting the file in the My Games folder, but still have the original somewhere else, and you can just delete these files if you want to go back to original. When you uninstall Blue Marble, it just deletes the files it installed in My Games.

I have a mod I'd like to use this with, so that when other players load my mod it will work for them. Do you have a link describing how to do this?

Also, where do I get that earth map posted on teh first page? it looks more like a standard size map than Rhye's huge map.

Thanks,

I suggest to let the other players decide which terrain graphics they want. If people want to download and install the Blue Marble pack too, it will be automatically used with any mod, including yours. If players prefer to keep the original terrain, they only install your mod.

I made this screenshot with the standard earth map (huge) included with Civ Vanilla.

I would like to uninstall blue marble, but cannot find where it is. I did not see it in my games folder. Can anyone help?

I think he means where the .exe is. We don't know where you put it. Go to start>search and type in Blue Marble or BlueMarble (can't remember which) and press search. Try the advanced options and select Application from the extremely long list.

Thanks for the replies. I could not find it, so installed it again and then followed the address and uninstalled it

So are these maps or if i install this will it make the game's random maps look better or waht?

The thing about this is there is an installer and that is lovely. Every mod needs to work like this one.
