Bolt-Action Riflemen of the World

Ok, done with the Banzai shout! (Didn't take too long :)) It is 1.10 seconds long, and already saved in the correct type of WAV format for use in C3C (22050Hz,16bits,Mono). I adjusted the sound level to get it at the appropriate level (similar to other Civ3 sounds), but haven't tested it in-game. But sound level should be fine (not too loud/not too soft).

OK. Finally, one Japanese Army rifleman added to the OP. Thanks again Tom2050 for the Banzai sound. I think it times out perfectly in game. :goodjob: Check it out.

Japanese SNLF rifleman mid 1930s posted. I decided to go with the Type 90 helmet instead of the Adrian just because the Adrian helmet I have doesn't look quite right I don't think.

Very nice! Also, thanks to Vuldacon for refining the Banzai sound, it's smoother and the sound is spread out a little more than the original which gives a better fit to the animation.

As far as japanese infantry, the only other types of infantry that I know of would be Kwantung or Manchukuo Imperial Infantry/Guards... I think the Teishin Shudan were a type of airborne marines, seperate from the SNLF (but small in numbers). I'm not familiar enough with these to know if there was a vast difference in uniform appearences, etc to make it worth it. From the few pictures I have seen, they look somewhat similar to IJA infantry, or other animations already available (but not really sure on that).

Again, great job!

Huh. I didn't know about the Kwantung / Manchukuo units. O/T but it's HQ (requiring a singular mainland resource to build) might be an interesting way of "provoking" the AI into some historical behavior ...

According to the ever-loved  wikipedia:

The Kwantung Army was heavily augmented over the next few years up to a strength of 700,000 troops by 1941 and its headquarters was transferred to the new Manchukuo capital of Hsinking. The Kwantung Army also oversaw the creation, training and equipping of an auxiliary force, the Manchukuo Imperial Army.

So from this I would assume that both types of troops have similarities of appearance, but just an assumption. I found this pic online, looks like they have a furry helmet, as I don't think that was the hair style at the time.

Sorry for O/T Gary, I'm done!
