Later in the game, Beach anticipates sieges getting quite hectic, with bombers blitzing cities not to conquer them, but to damage the infrastructure around them, weakening the empire and making it easier for ground units to occupy the battered settlements.

All right, this might divide some people, but this is one of my absolutely favorite additions.

Think WWII, even though England's armies weren't strong enough yet to challenge Germany(like after D-Day), it could use it's vast bomber fleets to damage German production and cities.

So now, instead of straightforward city siege, you can punish your enemies by air(and coastal?) bombardment, along with espionage etc.

Also without proper anti-air or fighter cover, AI's bomber fleets on high diff. levels could be frightening!

Anything that makes war more like battles of attrition with tactical attacks and less like rolling over a bunch of cities is a good thing in my opinion.

I also find this appealing. I like to wreck havoc rather than capture cities sometimes.

I know I shouldn't get too hyped until we have more info on the mechanics and gameplay and whatnot, but goddamn #GETHYPE

this feature should be fun if the cities can vastly specialize and build some key structures that give massive +% bonuses. bombing such tiles will severely hamper the enemy.

otherwise, bombing ten tiles with a generic univercity in each will get old very fast.

Gamespot also mentions this:

Unstacking cities will allow for more strategic warfare as well. "You can do bombing raids on key industrial districts," Beech says. Seeing as how farmland, factories, and markets are now separated, the "when and where" of any invasion is key. If London is pumping out armored tanks and fighter jets, you can attack its factory tiles. If Cairo is generating ample currency, its markets are the obvious targets.

Great feature. Civ3 had it and I was sad they got rid of it. I would have welcomed it in Civ5 where you wanted to avoid a rep hit for conquering cities. I'd have loved to carpet bomb them back to the Stone Ages and destroy their infrastructure and I was frustrated I couldn't.

Only if I can build surface to air missile launchers to make sure enemy civs don't mess up my :) :) :) :):) :) :) :):) :) :) :):) :) :) :) :P
But I realize this is already a feature in the game so I have no room to make demands.

You can put your own aircraft on intercept also. The AI in CiV never swept enough.
