In my mind too...I could live with those flak guns, especially if they deleted SAM infantry. Only 10% intecept chance, and a chance they get hurt too, and they dont autostop the bomb when they get hit, thats exactly how AAA should work in game in my mind.

Response to milly's post #633: its actually "Standard Ethanol" not Standard Oil, and it represents that current Ethanol sensation thats sweeping the nation. The process i was refering to was Pyrocracking.There's already something like that... it's called Standard Oil. ^^;
True, but the de Havilland Mosquito did require Aluminum ailerons. There were no purely non aluminum aircraft made for WW2.Certainly not all WWII aircraft were made from aluminum... alot were made from wood, canvas and other building materials (the RAF Mosquito was all-wood frame).
Also I want to make sure this is seen amongst all the other rabble I've posted. LOOK HERE! LOOK AT THIS QUOTE, WOLFSHANZE! Something doesn't make sense!One thing i've noticed, since you've allowed cavalry to upgrade to tanks, the Stable should become obsolete earlier; right now you can build all sorts of tanks but no cavalry and the Stable can still be built. It obsoletes at advanced flight, which is when Gunships pop up, but it should obsolete at combustion or industrialism, as this is when tanks show up.
You're right... I'll do something about the Stables... don't know why anyone would build one after tanks though.Also I want to make sure this is seen amongst all the other rabble I've posted. LOOK HERE! LOOK AT THIS QUOTE, WOLFSHANZE! Something doesn't make sense!
Nope... not gonna happen...What about having Cavalry Upgrade to Infantry or Machineguns also? I know it may sounds dumb, but a lot of Cavalry made the switch to Infantry, it was not always tanks, and certainly not gunships.It would have been funny though.
When I said "Tanks", I did indeed mean "Tanks"... the WWII version (not "early tanks")... I intentionally don't want cavalry outdated in WWI, because they were still widely used in WWI and can move faster then WWI tanks... which is why I leave a three-way option to upgrade cavalry to either Early Tanks, WWII Tanks or modern Gunships... you can't say you don't have options with cavalry... I'm going to obsolete the stable with "Industrialism"... a very WWII-era tech.
You're probably right... I guess I'll have to show you why you're wrong!this thread is mostly filled with monologue by someone who likes to type. I do not comment on the mod, because all I'd get is another monologue listing how Wolfshanze is right and the unfortunate poster is wrong.
Explain how whole US Cavalry divisions were literally turned-into armored or mechanized divisions then.- "upgrading" Cavalry (to Tanks, Armor in general or even Helicopters) is totally unrealistic - you can't upgrade a horse; they just go obsolete (or rather: become outdated, save some exceptions concerning terrain where armored vehicles are useless)
What would you call a WWII Tank then? It's not a tank? You didn't read that I literally meant "TANK" as-in the unit in the Wolfshanze Mod... there's "EARLY TANK" and "TANK" in the Wolfshanze Mod... I was refering to the WWII "TANK", not the WWI "EARLY TANK".- "Tank" is the name of the WW I armor (the name just stuck after that)
Industrialism is a tech in the game that comes around the WWII timeframe... I didn't invent it or name it... it's just a name... I'm making Stables obsolete around the WWII timeframe... what else is there to say?- industrialism actually is pre-20th century (for England it started late 19th century, i.e. around 1780); I do not comment on Industrialism as an in-game tech.
The "Horse Whispering" event gives your Stables +1You're right... I'll do something about the Stables... don't know why anyone would build one after tanks though.
In addition to what Wolfshanze and Tlalynet said, this is hardly an issue this mod introduced to the game. How, for example, do you upgrade a Frigate to a Destroyer? One's made of wood and the other is steel. For that matter, how do you upgrade any ship?"upgrading" Cavalry (to Tanks, Armor in general or even Helicopters) is totally unrealistic - you can't upgrade a horse; they just go obsolete (or rather: become outdated, save some exceptions concerning terrain where armored vehicles are useless)
