[BtS MOD] Wolfshanze 1850-1920 Enhancement Mod v2.0

I have a question, Wolfshanze (my apologies if this has been addressed before). How is the multiplayer compatibility of this mod? Several of us were interested in trying it out but I did not see anything in the description about it. Has anybody tested it?

It's MP compatible... so long as who you are playing against also has the Wolfshanze Mod (same version)... I haven't personally played MP, but there have been more then one person over the course of this thread who mentioned using it in MP.

I've played two games with this mod. It works fine, since it just adjusts units and techs, as opposed to giving a certain scenario with a specific number of players. Or something.

Thanks, I've always wondered just what Python scripts actually cause multiplayer problems. I know that Pickle (which I use for custom event storage in scenarios) will do it, but there are other issues as well. Quite frustrating sometimes trying to figure out what will and will not work. :crazyeye:

That's an impressive update, Wolfshanze! :goodjob: Congrats!

Ugh... of course less then 24hrs after I release my update, Danrell releases a bunch of great models/reskins!

Hehe, I know that feeling, fortunately it was 10 minutes before I started uploading my next version ;)
Hehe... Danrell should take the courtesy of notifying every modder on the forum a week in advance of when he'll be releasing new models/reskins so these problems can be avoided!

Got a CTD with both the 33 and 34 civs maps just by clicking on Germany in the choose civ screen (haven't checked the random map)...:(

I'll check it tonight after work, though I see no reason why that would happen... I only added models, there should be no changes at all to the scenario/world maps.

There were no changes to any of the civs other then added models/skins... I'll double-check it tonight and see if I can replicate the problem.

Just as you're starting a game as Germany? Sounds like one of Germany's units isn't referenced properly in the XML, maybe.

Okay... just checked on my end... cannot duplicate the error on my end... started 33 and 34 civ maps with Germany, game loaded-up just fine and dandy.

I take-it you're playing with the latest version of the mod (v2.67). Also, system specs, Operating System, language played-in... anything else that might be of use so I can narrow down the problem.

For the record, I play with a 3.0GHz Pentium-4, 1GB DDRAM, GeForce 6800GT w/256MB video memory... using WinXP and in English Language. Your mileage with this mod may vary if you're differing significantly from my specs.

Don't know about mileage, but specs read 2.66 GHz with 504 MB, using the latest version, which I just got installed. (My personal guess is it's a graphics issue, as with FfH unit graphics don't show up properly. But hey, I'm a technical moron...)

My main purpose of the mod was to add missing units from 1850-1920 and to diversify the ethnic graphics (as well as add Hitler and Hirohito). I created it as a stand-alone mod, so I'm not sure how well it does (or doesn't) get along with other mods or modules... it's been tested by itself on v3.02 and v3.13 of BtS, but not with any other mods.

The only mod that combines Wolfshanze with other mods is the Merged Mods- which is designed to make gameplay changes (adds Dale's Combat mod- which is optional, and Pirate and Partisan mods, which are not. It also changes some things with air units- which I don't entirely agree with but not as opposed to it as Wolfshanze. It's not DL'able right now- Ninja needs to re-upload it.)

Do you know what kind of video card you have and/or the video memory available?

Playing the earth map with 33/34 civs is very demanding on a system.

Also, what operating system are you using (XP/Vista) and it might be helpfull if you mentioned which language you're playing in... if you're playing in a language other then English, it's possible I may have missed a TXT description or two for some languages.

Sorry, forgot to mention I use Windows XP, English language (in-game that is). Haven't got a clue about video card. (And yes, generally I don't like 24+ civ maps, cos it slows the comp/game down - tho graphics show up alright.)

Jeelen... I'm not sure what to say... I have no problems starting the 33/34 civ scenarios as Germany, and as we're both using the same OS, same language and same version of the mod, I find it odd.

Anybody else reading this thread have any problems with the 33 or 34-civ earth scenario map using the Germans in the Wolfshanze mod?

I don't play with the 34 civ dll. I find it is flaky and provides erratic performance as well as occasional crashes. Instead, I enjoy the Wolfshanze mod with straight-up Bhruic's dll.

I see. Will try out the mod with other maps to see how that works out. (Sorry for bugging you with unretrievable bug.);)

Actually, the 33/34 civs maps don't come into play, as I CTDed in the choose civ screen. Anyway, I've DLed Merged Mod to see how that works out.;)
