[BTS] Regiments & Ethnic Diversity

Damn, another patch... playing a full game with 28 civs, found out I've corrected the carthage's horseman the very wrong way, causing a CTD with spain now :blush:

just extract in your "..\Civilization 4\Beyond the Sword\Mods\Regiments and Ethnic Diversity\Assets\Modules\Ethnic Units\" folder, replacing existing files.

previous patch included.

you can set up to 36 civs by editing the map file.

I haven't made change to the SDK excepting solver's patch and number of civ, so you can also replace my DLL with the one of Lt. Bobs 40 civ, and then use Nightravn conversion of Genghis Kai Giant Earth Map (my maps won't work with Lt Bobs DLL)


v1.2 may be released this WE... including keymod 1.3 and some units to play on sea ;)

THANKYOU VERY MUCH! But solver's patch is not important if i use an other dll? I hope there's no change for formations, units etc... and when You'll make the new release it will be easy to install in this? I'm adding civs and true modern flags :)
 
Yes you can use any dll made for BtS with the mod, it won't change anything to formations and new units. This may change in future release (not the next one anyway).

The next release will need a complete reinstallation of the mod because the structure has changed, I'm sorry about that. Depending on what your changing (is there any common XML files between this mod and true modern flag ?), it may be difficult or not to re-update your change.

well it's a really natural step when adding flavor to the game :)

and it was already in the warlord version of regiment & edu, napoleon era units by AlazkanAssassin was my original source of inspiration
 
Is this a unit modifying Mod? (I.E. Making larger regiments in new units) Or is it just a mod...?
 
I would like to add Canada with the Modular thing but i wonder if the Formation and all other function will work fine.. Any idea ?
if canada is modular, I thing it will work fine with formation and everything... I've already added Polynesia in my "..\Civilization 4\Beyond the Sword\Mods\Regiments and Ethnic Diversity\Assets\Modules\Custom Civilizations" with minimal XML editing (removing second UU and making it use south east asia building).

sorry, I don't understand the question. The mod mix regiment with 9 to 10+1 formations and ethnic units (same stats as other units of same class, not UU, only flavor)

it adds also a few unit class in air forces, and I've added a Dreadnought class (the ship, coming with next release)

Keymod 1.30 will be added to this mod soon? With the Khmer and everything?

i've just joined and changed in module/ethnic units/xml/art/EthnicUnits_CIV4ArtDefines_Civilization.xml
and in module/ethnic units/art/... a folder interface/TeamColor/ with the flags inside... :D
 
Sorry... i've downloaded with the winrar... Now i've a doubt: I'm not finding the ethnic diversity modern units have i done any errors?

you mean in game or in folders ?

if correctly extracted, the update install these units in "..\Regiments and Ethnic Diversity\Assets\Modules\Ethnic Units\Art\Units\Modern"

OK in the folder! Ok in the game. It was only that when i went to the editor i saw only a modern armour. I haven't proved. Now i've done and when i put in the game Then i can see the different units... sorry it's all ok. :blush:
