I might decide to switch from Continents to Pangea, too, just to get more practice at the finer points of diplomacy, see how it works in BTS.

Holy CRAP Pangea is so much easier than Continents! So many opportunities for trade, conquest, diplomacy, etc., it's like going back to Settler level.

No WONDER you guys are always bragging about how you clean it all up before anyone gets swordsmen, on Deity level!!! hahahahahahahahaha....

Wow.. they have a "Trail of Tears" right along your west wall. Id be sticking a line of axe along the inside of the wall and jump them when advantage presents itself. Gobble up those free promotions!!

Last week I had a game I was so proud of because I'd bee-lined to AH, popped horses, and was escorting settlers with chariots, which usually rule in the early turns of the game. But then the barb uprising came and what were they? SPEARMEN. I didn't have GW, and no copper, no iron.

Restart.

I only noticed this by the end of the game, but look at this, Montezuma didnt had ANY happines resource for the entire duration of the game! His cities stayed at size 4 and surrounded by jungle, and he just couldnt remove them! 75 turns for sailing at 1949 AD? lol.

And...




Look at the clock. I accepted peace, and the game locked for 3 minutes! Seriously, WTH? This happens all the time; its not so bad when i trade maps, but its terrible when i declare peace...

I assume you're running some mod the allows forests on mountains? And doesn't "normalize" peaks out of the BFC?

Don't ya just hate it when you start in an awesome location with an Industrial trait and proceed to build nearly every Wonder and simply blow the opposition off the map! I admit, it's only on Monarch level....
