[BtS-WoC] World of Civilization - Modding Standard

its not a mod or mod pack without those three included anymore like DCM when it came out, now it's pretty much standard. :assimilate:

What is the latest on 1.2? I've been holding off on playing BTS all weekend because I didn't want to start a game I couldn't finish. I'm having the shakes!
 
We are planning to have Revolution in the next one is why the hold up. We are about done. DCM is in. Just need to add them to the each unit's xml.

We are have some more stuff working on but we have only 3 people testing are stuff in the SVN. We have some quantified resources already working, but just takes time when you do not have many people to get it all done. Got a Stone Age Camp(moving city sort of)beginning on. More AI for DCM stuff. Super Spies is having some specialist added. So anyway that is what is going on. Not dead just too much stuff to get done, and not much help.

So will have something when Revolution is ready to go anyway.
 
Ive been playing WOC, and so far I have to say wow.

However, Ive found a possible issue with the combat. I have advanced a swordsman to level 10. He has all 5 levels for increasing strength, has the archer advancement for +25% combat for archers, but when he fights an archer, it doesnt seem to be implementing the extra 25% in the calculator. It still shows him as strength 9, when he should be higher. Is this 25% a hidden increase of strength, or just something that is being missed? Ive not tried this with other combat oriented units, but to me if this isnt working right, it is a big issue. In addition, he also has the +25% against melee and the same thing appears to be happening with that as well.

Grayhorse, I may have an answer for this.
I noticed sometime ago that the combat calculations are not always made the same way. Sometimes, the bonus added are not directly added, but subtracted from your opponent's strength, instead.
Check if this is what happens. Maybe you still have strength 9 with your swordsman (+50%), and should still get +25% with archers. But instead, the game subtracts some of the your opponents strength, making it the same as adding 25% to your unit. I don't know, maybe this is what is happening.

And rock, sorry for not showing up for so long. Real life sometimes gets to us, and there is no way to avoid it... :(
 
@Lerinor, not a problem RL takes priority. We are about ready to put out 1.2 friday. LOts f added stuff. Revolutions extended ranged bombard, beta super spies, beta sea cities, Pirates Ho, Smiley icons, Immigrants and a few others.
 
When can we expect the 1.2 installer release?
 
Just getting DCM and Revolution in hoping at least. You can download what we are working on the SVN now. When we are hoping as soon as possible.
 
I tried that SVN thing before and it confused me. I just wait for the full installers to be released. But, thank you for the update.

Hi ruffrider, planning on this weekend, still in finishing up, checking and testing stage. Unfortunatley I just had a hernia operation, so Im at my GF's house until tommorrow, when hope to finish things up by then. Lots of cool new things require more testing and checking. Hope that wait will be worth it. Latters.
 
No worries Rocky... I've been trying to play the Star Trek mod, but that crap takes FOREVER to go between turns. I'll be looking forward to the release. Will it be an installer with all the stuff included?
 
CiV 5 will be released before this mod is complete....:dunno:

Thats fine, Im still down because of the hernia operation, I cant drive until tommorrow. I see Johny has been hard at it. We have a new hand also in black_imperator, heis doing some good things. Faichele has been hard at it with the sdk. There is some really cool new things being added. I cant wait to get it out. Just didntplanon getting ahernia, so I've been holed up at my Gf's house and my computers are at home. Cant lift over 5 lbs, so it sucks. Tommorrow I can go home and get on it.

Thanks I was just needling you, I had a hernia operation Tuesday, so I cant be home by myself until I heal a little bit. It really sucks trust me. One thing we have added is a Sea city mod from ViSa. Its in beta testing, I think you will like the new tunnels, unfortunately we dont have new graphics for the Sea City, so it will be a beta version. I started out with ViSa as a beta tester, then volunteered to help be a modder, and knew absolutely nothing, had no clue what XML, Python, SDk was."Well some say I still have no clue" I just had a affinity to learn. WE can always use some beta testers to help out!
