Bug Reports and Technical Issues

I'm getting a failed to compress game data from any of these combinations ...

Which is unfortunate because I'd really like to find out what's going on. I've just looked at it in the current revision and everything seems to work. Rolled up a Polynesia start and could not build the Moais in Mu'a but in Nuku Hiva, and completing it gave the intended effect.

So Sorry to cause you bother. My text mod somehow disables the Moai Statues abilities (I tried the original). I haven't modified anything to do with the moai statues. I don't understand

Hey Leoreth, I think there's something wrong with the Mexican UHV (i'm not on the latest SVN) Regent/Epic/1700 AD and I switched from Argentina to Mexico

This is all I can see :P

I'm not sure which line is this now since I've modified a lot of CNM code.
There's a typo on Palembang to Palimbão, in which:

Indonesia:
Code:
'Palimbĕo' :	'Palembang',
Portugal:
Code:
'Palembang' :	'Palimbão',

EDIT:

Uh...

how do I write code that doesn't change & # 2 2 7 to ĕ ?
The point is,

it is written & # 2 2 7 ; in Indonesia's CNM while the correct one is & # 2 7 7 ; in Portugal's CNM.

Ah that would explain it, I assume you branched off an existing SVN version? There was a revision where it didn't work because the internal constants were messed up, but that's been fixed by now. Since your mod doesn't rely on that it might be worth getting a new DLL.

Thanks, I'll take a look at it.

Okay. Not sure how to avoid this, I thought would help, but it doesn't either. That's what you get for speaking HTML I guess.

There was an inconsistency between the constants and the Victory module regarding Vienna's location, fix has been committed.

Wow, thanx again. :goodjob: I hope I'm not becoming irritating.

Nope, it's good that you help me fix all of these small errors. After dealing with crashes all the time this is almost pleasant :)

Edit: speaking of which, I have also fixed the problem in the Mexican UHV progress display.

Version: 1.12 non SVN
Scenario: 600 AD
Difficulty: Monarch
Speed: Normal

I don't know if this is known or not, but I haven't been able to find any report of it.

Anyway, it appears that the Tibetan UP extends to military units as well, meaning that I can march through anyone's territory and I am also unable to capture the independent cities such as Pagan or the Indian ones.

That's not a bug, it's a feature of the Khampa (Tibetan UU); it doesn't need Open Borders to move through territory, and can't attack units of a neutral civ - probably to make sure you don't need to war with China to fulfill the first UHV goal if they deny you Open Borders.

If you want to attack, order an Archer to approach the city, then confirm that you want to declare war; the Archer won't actually be able to reach the city due to the jungle and will instead stay put, but the Khampa will recognize the city as a valid target.

You can generally always order any normal kind of unit to enter an impassable tile under enemy control (like water or peaks) to declare war.

Yeah, I was mainly pointing out that you can just direct them to an impassable tile instead of a city or something.

(SVN) Porcelain Tower doesn't seem to be working. I'm running Mercantilism and built the tower as China and it's not providing me the foreign & intercontinental bonuses.

Save please (with revision number).

I have 2 save files attached (and two screenshots). Both are revision 858. In the first, I have mercantilism and Porcelain Tower and am not getting foreign/intercontinental bonuses. In the second save file, I am running capitalism/free market and still have the Porcelain Tower but am not receiving an intercontinental bonus for trade routes that are intercontinental.

Thanks, will give it a look later.

Have Open Borders with 6 European civilizations in 1650.

This is v1.12 (no SVN). I have it with 6 civs and I don't seem to be losing contact with any of them, but I still failed the goal, even with a Caravel in Europe. Save is a few turns before due date. Screenshot is on the turn I got the goal failed message.
