Bug Reports and Technical Issues

Can you check the desktop shortcut if it points to the right path?
That's what's in the "Target:" line, right? If so, then what it points to is:
"C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\SteamApps\common\Sid Meier's Civilization IV Beyond the Sword\Beyond the Sword\Civ4BeyondSword.exe" mod=\RFC Dawn of Civilization

Is that correct? If not, what should it be?

It depends on what your install path is. You can check on Steam via properties -> "browse local files".

The install path for BtS is:
C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Sid Meier's Civilization IV Beyond the Sword

The path for DoC specifically is:
C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Sid Meier's Civilization IV Beyond the Sword\Beyond the Sword\Mods\RFC Dawn of Civilization

And the Civ4BeyondSword.exe?

Seems like your shortcut target is correct. Is the mod present in the Mods folder?

Unless there's supposed to be a separate .exe file for DoC itself in the mod's folder, yes, everything seems to be there, within the folder "RFC Dawn of Civilization".

Sorry, then I am at a loss why the link doesn't work.

I was actually able to figure out a solution - adding underscores to "RFC Dawn of Civilization" for both the folder and the shortcut made it work. So I'm going to chalk this up to a Windows 11 issue.

EDIT: Nevermind, it crashes when loading the map. Going to have to find something else.

You can also try right clicking Civ4BeyondSword.exe and choosing "create shortcut". Then you have to edit its target to add "mod=\RFC Dawn of Civilization"

The modified shortcut gives the same error message as the shortcut created by the installer, and also opens vanilla BtS afterwards.

Why are the color of civs incorrect and messed in HoF? Also, when you finish a game and retires, you're expected to see all civs in your demographic graphs. But some civs are deleted due to the new rise and fall mechanic, so they can't be seen in the graph.

Yes.

I think there's a bug in Congresses.py, line 1144.
if game.getPlayerRank(iLoopPlayer) > iNumPlayersAlive / 2 and game.getPlayerRank(iLoopPlayer) < iNumPlayersAlive / 2:
This condition can never be satisfied.

Did you count founded and cities you have lost since then?

So you founded Rasa and conquered three cities?

There's a quick resolution mode in the settings I think.
