Bug Reports and Technical Issues

Please find a way to include tiles around Recife as part of Latin America: for Colombian UP to work properly and to fix the "avoid conquerors" exploit.

SVN 987

A post-war congress and its decision: what does it have to do with France anyway? And why is Germany not in it?

You can claim cities from non-participants as usual, only winners of the war are excepted from claims, so that part is working as intended.

Not sure what is up with Germany. Whose side were they on? A save from before the congress was triggered would help.

What's the issue here? Is Recife not part of the Latin American box?

But it doesn't make sense when that civilization(whose city is asked for) is a strong one(in this case is it? France is ranked 10th on the scoreboard). They need to have a say in this.

They are on Spain-Netherlands' side. I cannot provide the save until later today.

No, it's too east to be in that box. And you can avoid the conqueror event by meeting the old world civs on these tiles as Maya, Inca or Aztec.

They still can refuse.

That's fine, I won't have time to work on this until later anyway.

Should be easy to fix then.

Can anyone confirm this or provide some more context? I played a while as Iran and didn't encounter anything like this.
I just tried to reproduce this and the goal worked for me. Note that with all of these goals, you are supposed to be in control of the number of buildings required when the last one is built. Just building and losing them afterwards is not sufficient (and would especially make the cathedral goals much easier if you try to game it). So if that was the case for you, this is working as intended. Otherwise, I'd need a save of the specific situation (turn before the third mosque completes).

Any updates here? I'd like to get those bugs out of the way, but right now I'm blocked.

Thanks.

Leoreth, if you have time, please check out this save. After hitting the End Turn button, I get a CTD next turn. Latest revision, I updated the game halfway.

Not another one. Will do.

Fixed.

Following up on the save, what makes you think they are on the same side? They aren't connected by defensive pacts, which is the only reliable way for the congress logic to determine allegiance.

I'm speaking without the book here, but they joined the same war against us and are not at war with each other. That's an alliance to me. And it's not like before Military Tradition you can't have war–allies.

BTW, thanks for the fixes.

Something i noticed about Persia with the most recent SVN. Shush flips on turn 2 rather than turn 3. As a result, Zoroastrianism is founded in Shush instead of Parsa.

Edit: restarted and this time Shush flipped on turn 3 as normal. Weird.

Upon the Byzantine start (3000 BC) Barbarian Thessalonike 1 SW of Constantinople tile did not get destroyed (as it is happening with Magdeburg-Berlin situation).

Oh, and something is wrong with F8 screen. Due to many empty lines between the different victories -- there is no enough room to display the last historical victory and all the religious ones.

The spawn mechanic has always been funky, can't wait until I will be able to rewrite it.

Hmm, maybe I can make the criteria a bit more broad by also including civs that are at war with every ally of the war leader of either side.

Noted.

Can you upload a screenshot? It looks good for me, but it might depend on your screen resolution.

The problem is in the absence of the scroll bar. Other civs work fine, by the way (I loaded 3000 BC Canada, scroll bar was there).

Oh, got it. There's apparently an error in the code that is creating that line, which prevents everything else from being displayed as well.

Again asking for more information about those (error messages as Iran, first Mughal goal not triggering). Could not reproduce and would like to get the bug reports out of the way.
