Bug Reports and Technical Issues

Noted, but the entire Victory code has been rewritten since then, so there is not much point in checking.

For me it crashes right when loading, do you have a save from the previous turn as well?

Playing 1.12. Is something like this supposed to happen sometimes? I played a couple games as Babylonia and never had something west of Shushan flip on the Persian spawn. Most certainly not all the way in Asia Minor.

I changed the config as instructed in the OP, thankfully this didn't repeat when I tried to replicate it an hour ago. However I still got a string of errors in the turn where yesterday my cities flipped.

The Persians filp Assyria and Asia Minor.

The rule that original capital locations are protected is still in effect.

That's actually an error in the text. Ninua won't flip, as it's in the Babylonian core. Save provided to prove it. End the turn, then agree to the flip; you'll keep Ninua.

My theory is that the flip notification hasn't been updated to take the new flip rules into account.

capitols dont get special treatment anymore when it comes to flips to avoid exploits (rightly so, imho)

The rule that original capital locations are protected is still in effect.

I'm aware of this. But in this case, the player will loose all cities.

Oh, I figured you wanted that one. Yes, if you load this attached save game and press "End Turn" twice without doing anything on your turns, you will get the CTD also.

Thanks! The thing is, if there are no more moves left in a saved game, your turn ends when you load it even if you don't press enter.

Only AI, yes.

Mayan 3rd UHV triggered error in event handler and F8 screen fails to register hit or miss on Mayan part. Mayan Trireme met Spanish Caravel near the coast of Suriname. Hard to tell what happened first: it is possible Mayan unit sighted Spanish unit before Spanish unit sighted any American tile (my understanding of 3rd UHV). It is also possible Spanish unit discovered America before being contacted by my Mayans (in 1410 on default difficulty :wallbash:) Any of those case had to produce either fail in F8 screen, or declare my victory. None of those happened. F8 screen still displays "Not yet" message!

Well, obviously it won't work if an error occurred.

And just knowing that there is an error doesn't help me a lot in fixing it. Savegame?

Will do when I get back home from work.
