Bug Reports and Technical Issues

I was playing as India the other day with the intention of switching to Mughals once they spawned. When they appear in Delhi they declare war on my as expected, but when I switch to playing them in the next turn I become the Mughals, yet I'm at war with myself and I can't control any units (the menus disappear).

This happens when the Holy City has a lot of Wonders and its culture level does not allow another one. Wait until the city reaches a new level and you will be able to build it.

Thank you! That's it. And I agree, not counting shrines for the limit seems a good call.

Another thing I'm not sure about whether it is intended: I've multiple times now seen barbarians remove city ruins since mechanically they count as improvements. Just feels weird to me, current day cases of ISIS doing their worst to obliterate ancient ruins notwithstanding.

Catholicism spreading to Americas before contact.

Why is it that unsuccessful religious persecution shuts down city for one turn? It is bad enough the mission has failed, bad enough that Persecutor unit was used, but also 1 turn of city anarchy? Isn't it a bit too much for intolerant bloodthirsty fanatics?

Is the save before or after the religion spread? I need the former.
I intended to upload the save before but apparently i uploaded another save unrelated to that game, my apologies. The save is overwritten by now but i will upload it again if that happens again.

Is that a bug, Leoreth?

knock knock. Have you heard of Jesus? Why yes we already have, thank you!

Not sure, it requires contact which is why I would like to look at the actual situation.

Playing as Romans,

orthodoxy was founded by Ethopia.

I researched ethics and founded Catholicism in Rome. Tooltip says its founded on doctrine though?

I don't think it was from the tech, the schism event likely triggered on the same turn. I can check a save from the turn before if you like.

Perfect, thanks. I'll use that save to determine what causes this behaviour.

Side remark: this time your Rome does not look very impressive :mischief::undecide: What happened to it?

Hehe, it's not always I try to aim to maximize my outcome in my games. In this case after 750BC the Greeks already had a dangerous army and Egypt was too going strong. I also try to minimize my city flipping for the rising nations.

So to end my wheep story here: sometimes you have an ultimate game what comes to war, technology and neighbour collapsing. AAAAND sometimes things happen a little slower, more pacifist style and simply that I choose to play "badly" :p.

BTW Leoreth, in this my recent game Catholicism was not founded until ~1300AD after I researched Doctrine. We are now all happy united Orthodox family in Europa :grouphug:.

I don't suppose Trading Company :gold: counts all cities with TC instead of just your own?

It does, and that's intentional.

It's simply the corporation headquarters effect from the base game.
