Bug Reports - Post Here!

I've been getting the City-State influence decay bug for several versions now. I think I reported it earlier but it may have been overlooked.

When I liberate a city-state, most of the time the influence decay goes to -6 per turn. It lasts for about 20 or 30 turns.

75% of the time when I demand tribute from a CS, especially early in the game, their influence drops not by 15, but all the way to -60, regardless of what it was before.

If the Lua.log would help here it is: Lua.log

That last line looks evil.
[40878.642] Runtime Error: C:\Users\Jens\Documents\My Games\Sid Meier's Civilization 5\MODS\Community Balance Patch (6-2)\LUA\TechButtonInclude.lua:198: attempt to index local 'improvement' (a nil value)

My bet is that you are missing some DLC.

Those are CSD things. If a CS is injured, or surrounded by enemies, its rate goes down more quickly. If you demand tribute from a CS, it drops your influence to -60.

Many thanks!

Will get the extra leaders and see if that fixes it.
I'll blame the fact that it used to work with older versions. So my brain skipped that part about needing the leader packs as well.

I've found a slight bug with the AI. In most of my games there will always be a few major civs with thousands of gold in the bank while their GPT is negative and they just stay that way for dozens of turns. The AI keeps hoarding money while their economy and their score wither away.

I also had an issue with the spawning of Great Prophets. My last game with Spain on lvl 5 difficulty, it took me 7 more turns of waiting for a propeht to spawn even though I had the right amount of faith.

Has anybody else noticed this?

I just remembered a small typo: "THe mutual friendship you and I share with {1_CivName} makes our friendship all the stronger.", note the double capital at the beginning. It's TXT_KEY_HUMAN_DOFED_FRIEND_5 from NewText.xml.

Small thing but heh :p

The first issue might be due to policy adoption (MIGHT), trades, religions, and etc. I find it weird too. Maybe the leader exploited his/her citizens by taxes woo hoo!

The 2nd issue you mentioned is not actually an issue: There's a chance for a prophet to appear, just a chance not certainty.

Well I'm pretty sure they have that extra gold because of the difficulty level. AI get a certain amount of gold each era depending on the difficulty (at least that's my impression from CBP). The problem is the AI doesn't really know how to use that money effectively. In my last game, China had about 1500 gold in reserve when the average purchase/investment costs were around 250 for most buildings for at least 30 turns. They didn't spend any of it, even though they were dead last in score. The AI should spend a little bit more aggressively when they have lots of money saved up.

May I suggest showing that in the buttons and tooltips? The "ask for tribute" button still says -15 Influence. And I found it baffling and a tad frustrating not knowing why influence decay for liberated CS's was all over the map, I imagine most players would find it confusing as well.

I've played maybe a dozen CPP/CBP/CSD/C4DF games now and I just noticed the variable CS influence decay rate in my last game and thought it was a bug too. Tooltip info would be great.

I'm having a every weird bug... when the AI offers me a deal:

1. The text is only partially correct(Ex. The AI says he wants to exchange embassies, but the actual offer also includes luxuries).
2. If I accept the AI's offer, nothing happens, and all buttons disappear. The only way to return to the game is via pressing escape on the keyboard.

I am able to exchange embassies, but I can't trade any resources with the AI. Help please?

-You get a warrior even later on from events quests.("You plan yo conquer them anyway" decision.) Solution: Scale units with eras. Maybe infulence too(from +/-10points).

-Later found ruins are not worth much.If its 1+pop RNG, yeah nice but otherwise the culture and production reward change 1-2 turns in late medieval era.Later its worse. Playing with JDF's sweet exploration mod..:(.Same solution.( Can i mannually edit with ease the ancients ruins rewards?) .

-Sometimes trades propused by AI(Vers 6-2) dont trigger.

Agreed. Ancient ruins SHOULD scale if they don't already.

I have an odd bug, because I assume it would've been reported/fixed by now, but the Fishing icon is missing (black) when I research it when it shows on the Research Panel (using EUI anyway).

Is that just an odd artifact because of magical reasons or is that just unfixed?

Are you referring to the icon for the fishing research? Because I can see it just fine in my game.

Yes, that one. It's not displaying correctly on the larger UI version, it's just blank. The tech in general icon is sright it's just in that one place (the big display which technology you are currently researching)

I see that icon too. Seems to be a mod conflict or wrong installation.
