i call that an unintended feature. i wasn't even aware that it's possible to build improvements on a city tile!
anyway, i changed it back to the old behavior where city tiles are upgraded automatically.
Ok, so i got all required files, cleared the cache and booted up the game using EUI, CP, CBP, CSD, C4DF, and EUI compability files. Some text strings seem to be missing as pictured. What's wrong?

Looks like something didn't load properly. Post your database.log (assuming you have logging enabled). If you don't have it enabled, enable it, load a game, then post the log.
My guess is that you are missing some DLC or you aren't on the latest version.

Hello All,
My issue is very vexing and I see others have had it before.
When I run
"More Luxuries" with "Community Balance Patch"
I get zero resources (Luxury or Bonus), No city states and no goodie huts.
I was alone on a pole spanning continent (huge map 6 civs and supposed to have 24 city states) with nothing on the entire continent. Played until I had all ancient techs (My settings are set to "Only Luxury Resources Visible at Game Start") but still nothing.
This is a brand new install. I downloaded via steam yesterday so I am pretty sure my versions are up to date (1.0.3.144).
I tried both the EUI and non EUI installs and neither works. I even tried downloading the "More Luxuries" mod via steam in case there was a newer one. No luck with that either.
I have not installed any other mods beyond the ones that come with the installer.
I have purged my Cache and ModUserData
I have enabled logging and find this error in the Lua.log when the mods conflict
Given the function names this seems clearly related.
Anyone have any ideas on how to resolve this?

I have run with all CBP patches enabled. A portion. And with the More Luxuries alone. The error above seems to effect all combinations when "More Resources" is checked, so I am assuming that has the issue. This fact was hidden slightly by my seeing wheat and sheep with some combinations but still zero luxuries or city states.
I tried coding around the error (doing a null test), but that pushed the error to another location , I did get luxuries, but who know what else was missing.

Steam pushed an update to me and the issue fixed itself. Perhaps a DLC was not fully loaded (my library listed "Bison" weirdly)
I am leaving this in case anyone ever has a similar issue.

Redownload the mods and clear your cache - it looks like you are missing some text files from either the CBP or the EUI/No-EUI Compatibility file.

I finally got the core UI to work. I have followed all instructions but for some reason I dont have a tooltip to have units make decisions. I can make workers build anything I cant get great people to creat works I cant get archaeologist too dig. The box and options at the bottom left of the screen doesnt even show up at all. I can only move units by right clicking nothing else.

I am having trouble with the User interface.
I tried the latest beta patch but got CTD and weird interface.
So I decided to go back to the latest version with an installer, but the interface is still messy.
So far I have tried to delete everything in the MODS directory, double checked that the respective LUAs are deleted, cleard my cache several times, even rebooted. But I can`t get the EUI to work. I don`t understand it, it worked fine before, with this very version.
Any clue what I am missing?

Found a bug: in the attached save, I am at war with Elizabeth. If I offer peace and press 'what will make this deal work', she gives 40 gold and Wine, I accept, she agrees, the trade window closes, but we're still at war. Repeating the same sequence of actions gives the same result. I can make a white peace, however.
I'm encountering a bug where all technologies are tradable from the beginning of the game.
I'm using version 10.20 with EUI. I played a game with one of the previous versions and didn't have any problem. I deleted the previous version, cleared the cache used the auto-installer. The bug persist even after redownloading and trying again.

Yes, I have seen the old "trade passes through but in fact does not" bug come back... this is version 11-20.

I don't know much, but it looks like an EUI bug that I've got once myself. If you use EUI, try clearing the ModUserData folder as well as cache - they're both located in the same place.
