Bug Reports - Post Here!

Hello !

With the latest update, there is a bug with the audio when taking a decision in a city's event. The sound in the background will loop until I quit the game.

Started a new game and got another crash, this time the turn after meeting Hiawatha. Will upload whatever is needed.

I wonder if anyone could verify that what I am experiencing is a bug or whether it is a configuration issue. I have played three games so far, and crashed out three times (repeatably.) I would like to play this patch, so I would like to either a) fix my local configuration issue or b) know that someone can possibly fix what is wrong with the patch.

I've tried to debug the problem, but it's out of my level of expertise.

I realize it might be my playstyle, and I could possibly play the game another way to avoid the particular bugs I'm experiencing, but that makes me a little sad.

PeeDub, are you getting a crash with just (1)-(6) of the CPP enabled?

If you are getting an instant crash, it sounds like a bad civ install.

I assume that people have tested installing from Steam (not sure if there is another way) and that people have tested the Civ V: Complete Edition install. I don't know another way to install than just have Steam install it.

Is there an issue with having your user folder on the D drive?

Is there anything that can be gleaned from the dump file?

I'm not doing anything custom here. Just looking for help.

I don't know what to tell you, other than it is clearly a client-side issue. Verify integrity of your civ install.

The DMP file broke to disassembly, not useful.

If you are using EUI, it was installed into the DLC folder of your civ install, I assume?

Air planes can move to other cities without ending their turn if you select the plane & then right click on the city instead of using the option menu to move them. I experienced this bug in 23rd March build.

I'm pretty sure this is more of a civV bug than the mod's, but i hope you can find a way to fix it anyway.

In hotseat games, playing with humans and AI players:
the number of turns a DoF is supposed to last is 50 turns on standard.
But for DoF between human and AI, when you look at the countdown of the # of turns left in a DoF, the numbers are off. Moreover, if you compare the DoF countdown from the player's perspective to the AI's perspective, the # of turns left do not match. I think that's because in the AI's perspective, each human player ending his turn contributes to the countdown, meaning that if there are 5 human players in the game, the DoF turns remaining decreases by 5 after 1 game turn.
I haven't tested this , but i think the same applies to some other (but not all) diplomatic agreements with the AI.

It's an easily reproduceable bug, so no save game attached.

I'd be most grateful if you could fix this bug as it's one of two that dissuades me from playing hotseat games with AI.
The other is that sometimes the game CTD at the start of a human turn. One day i'll submit a proper bug report for that.

I assume you are talking about the UI_bc1 folder. It was installed as part of the CPP install, I think, right? It's there.

I've installed a couple times and verified cache a few times. Just verified again, successfully.

Should I try just playing without mods to see if it works? How do I play without EUI? (How do I play *with* it for that matter?)

Should EUI show up in my DLC tab? (See image)

EUI loads automatically with the game if it is in your DLC folder. You can delete it from the folder and then use the auto-installer to do a no-EUI installation (it is one of the options).

Hi, not sure if this bug has been reported before (too many pages to go through :P), but I just had a cultural victory with Brazil before I got my ideology.
Other details:
- Net happiness was positive
- Mods 1 v72, 2 v13, 3 v27, 4 v10 5 v155, 6a v1, and infoaddict v22 were used
- Had completed 2 policy trees (Tradition and Aesthetics) and had 2 policies from Rationalism tree
- Was in golden age when victory happened

Please let me know if you need other details. Thanks.

That change – the ideology change – was added in a version after the version you played on.

You sure you aren't missing DLC? What about Gods and Kings?

G

Thank you for your prompt response - and sorry, because PEBCAK. I could have sworn I have the Polynesia DLC but apparently I just watched far more Civ5-Videos by Marbozir than played myself recently...

But, an observation, maybe of interest: I got a city state mission to free another city state but that one was just annexed by Venice.

Yep. That's normal (the quest). Glad you sorted the DLC issue!

There appears to be an issue with deals not expiring correctly. I only realized this was happening in my game when someone else raised it in a reddit thread.

This image shows that I am apparently exporting 7 of my 9 copper:
EXHua3S

However the current deals in this image only show 1 copper exported:
VV56tZp

Despite the deals in the previous image totaling 58 gold, I am apparently receiving 85 gold from other civs:
dARvbcN

My deal history in the Diplomacy Overview includes a number of strange deals like this one:
IOeAebt

I'm wondering if these strange blank deals with an alleged expiry in Turn -2 may be previous export deals that are not expiring properly. Alternatively they may be a separate bug.

Ok thanks!
I'm playing the version from "automatic installer" which I did maybe 1 or 2 weeks ago, so I guess the latest changes (including the ideology one) are contained in the beta installation?

On another note, another issue which came up is that upon victory, I tried to look at the graphs and map tab on the victory screen, but they were not working. For graphs, when I selected any variable (e.g. excess happiness) nothing happened. Same for map, the map was just blank, even when clicked on the "play" button. Not that the game crashed, I could still close the victory screen and continue as before. These were not issues when I was playing without CPP/CBP before.

Got this error on a fresh install of the beta, just cp not balance. The icon for the events window then just shows as a red box. But I can get into the game at least.

Hmm...that file is only called by EUI, specifically the EUI compatibility file for the CBP. It's innocuous otherwise.
