Bugs3 - The Sid Virgin Sacrifice

WW has done up 3 times now.. does that mean it is at max?
Once we get spices (and later ivory) we can lower lux some again.

Might be an idea to start moving atrillery down towards persepolis and start shelling it down in size, then after they finish UN, raze it (they wont hold elections if we keep everyone allied vs them)

Try to get all persian uranium pilaged.. and aluminium when we can see that... without those persia cant win by space, and they are far from winning by culture.

No risk to lose to anything but Persia launching. Dutch still lead the culture race with 48k. Persia hardly will ever hold elections, they have been at war with everyone except us multiple times.
Persia has Uranium at Utrecht, and another one in their core. Can be pillaged as long as they have no Bombers without problems.
But: Getting Spices and Ivory will take quite some time; Persia is mobilized, and can build ungodly numbers of units every turn.
Still doable, but once they get TOWs, we will have a problem.

Might want to get 3 fully healed armed on the choke again, but tank or infantery armies this time. Since persia has no oil and no bombers left, they would be safe from attack I believe? There is a limit to how many units they can build on north side plus ship around per turn.. then kill off remaining units and raze towns to the north while filling in the land. After this is done we have spices connected.

once that is done.. move armies down and cut off persia a bit south of persepolis, then take out persepolis and pasargade. Fill in and we have ivory.

Then repeat same for Arbela, antioch and oil springs.

From this point surround grand river one with armies while keeping choke filled. Keep killing units inside till city falls. At this point Persia will be without uranium and rubber.

3 armies can also cut Persia in 2 between Heliopolis and alexandria I think.

At this point we would be pretty much at domination limit I believe

Wrong. They have Airports everywhere...guess why getting rid of Amsterdam was such a trouble. Their entire production ended in that city, 5+ Marines and several Inf every single turn.
And that is the real problem; that way, they have by far more units inside cities as usual (we don't care about those in the open, they can be ignored with enough Armies to protect).

But I agree with your plans, just don't expect they could be achieved in a couple of turns.

I dont expect them to happen in just a few turns.. I would not be surpriced if persepolis still had not fallen when the turns come around to me again :)

Persia seems to use 7-8 turns to research techs, so still many turns till we loose a space race :p
(while even with this high lux we still only take 3 turns or so to get the cash for immediate steals, or 5 turns or so for careful steals)

We may want to consider a government like Communism to get rid of the WW. AFAIK, WW will continue to climb until the government falls.

Ankka is UP
Gator on deck.

No, we're in Republic, no risk to fall into Anarchy. Communism will do us no good, I was smart-rushing lots of units every turn (and we need that, we don't have many cities above 20spt).

No, seriously, we can afford to continue the war. Lux is only so high because we have no Police Stations in the core, and all cities without Markets would riot otherwise. If we starve those, get some PS, Lux can go back to 20-30%.
And, we are still not paying a single coin for unit support.

I think it is very risky to let Persia get the UN. We cannot raze Persepolis anytime soon and it dooms us to stay at war with them to ally the other nations. We should have built it ourselves in Orleans. I guess with SID production bonus it will now be too late to get it. Next player should investigate Persepolis to check.

Pillaging Uranium is a dream. The one near Utrecht is not the problem, but there is another source under Grand River and we can not raze that anytime. In fact if we can raze Grand River the game is won. Same problem with rubber - they have one source under Oil Springs. Coal is - besided rail - not usefull to them, so we can concentrate to keep them without oil and to slowly progres towards Utrecht and Rotterdam.

There is absolutely nothing about the UN we could have done. How should we have anticipated Persia gets Fission? And once it was started in their capital, it was pointless to waste any shields for it.
In Orleans? That city builds about 50% of our military; Paris is on Armies, Rheims was an 2-turn Fighters (no longer needed), and Rouen on 2-turn Inf. No other city can build anything faster than 3 turns...
We were doomed to stay at war the moment we declared. The choice was units or scientific improvements at that point.
After 20 more turns on units, there is no choice anymore...

Oops, I managed to forget to post here that I was quite busy last week...

I'll see if I can get this today..

No, sorry, I won't be able to play now, skip me and I'll play when my turn next comes up in the normal roster.

I seem to have been getting a slight overdose of civ... and CulDom took all my energy.

Sorry.

Sorry, I did not realize I was up. I can play tonight after work if Bugs hasn't started yet.

I'm about four turns into it. Gator, you can grab this tomorrow. I think the end is in sight. We have consolidated the northern end of the Persian mainland and we are starting to work south. We're at 52%. Once Xerxes starts to fold, we should be able to grab our 66% quickly. We is starting to fold too. His production cannot keep up with loses. He is only replacing about one-third of them.
