Buzz words of OT

Because all morals descend from the evangelical God and all other people are either deluded for not realising this or completely immoral for rejecting this.

If something is morally wrong because God says so and becomes morally right because god says so (pork, shellfish...), than there is no objective morality.

Isn't morality subjective by its own definition? It's what people think is wrong.

I was attempting to suggest that such a position is neither rational nor reasonable, not pass a judgement on whether such a moral code would be objective or not.

Y'all don't know what moral realism actually means... Ima leave that there cos there's no way I'm discussing it with you guys.

Got another one! Finish your response to another post with "try again." even though you did not refute its arguments, just reiterated your own.

You haven't convinced me with those arguments. Try again.

"Try again" can only be legitimately used when the other person arguing has severe flaws in the argument that need to be corrected before their conclusions can be evaluated. The fail-to-convince version is just trolling.

Still unconvinced. Try again.

Right. I'll fall for this one. Here goes: AGAIN.

(how did I do?)

Thats objectively false, (how are you using the word "the" here?)

Try again.

Does complaining about the quality of OT in 20XX compared to 20XX-n count?

Edit: this entire thread, I missed the "IRL" component. Even still, I've complained about the quality of this place compared to other years to friends who've never been here.

I don't even know how it comes up.

Category error. Seems to cover just about everything. Categorically.

Sure. The problem is usually people who are subject to Dunning-Kruger and fail to realize that their ingenious post lacks coherence and arguments.

"Ivory tower" must have been one for OT for a while, 'cos I used for a CFC-based drawing long ago. I don't recall seeing it being used in years though, so it must have been a very brief while.
